About this deal

All you need to do is attach the electric air bed pump to the air bed, which will inflate without you having to do anything. Since the mattress is only an inch thick, you have to inflate it rock hard when the ground is bumpy. but you've piqued my curiousity about other types of pumps that I have around the house (and not my daughter's stilettos). Inventor Fusion does not have a coil function, so I modeled the threads in Inventor Professional ( ShadyLogic actually did it on his computer).

I should have mentioned that some mattresses seem to give excessive resistance if the valve is not in exactly correct position. I can only echo what pete says, car pump is low volume, high pressure, air bed pump, high volume, low pressure. Everest -- I'd probably want something I could shove down the side of my pannier, or maybe slip into the tent bag, and I'd want it to work FAST, operate easy and be cheap (or free if I had something that I could use already) and able to work with the gear I already like using.

My paddle board came with a hand pump, but an electric pump is obviously faster for inflating and deflating for storage. For an air bed you don't need high power - instead you need something that pumps a high volume of air, which is why the pumps for air beds and paddling pools etc have a much larger cylinder. On our most recent trip, my wife, Christy, was concerned about sleeping comfortably on just a sleeping pad due to a rib injury and being many months pregnant. Widely applicable to various inflatable , canoe, kayak, paddle board, airbed, swim , air mattress, airbed, pool, inflated toys and etc. You put the 'nozzle' over the pad's inflator thing, open the bag up as much as possible, close the main opening of the bag and then squeeze the air into the pad.

I made this adapter for the air pump which i have salvaged from the punctured cheap Air-Bed The pump was built-in so i had to cut it out(very simple). For the ideal camping bed, check out our options from leading brands like Pro Action and Decathlon – and if you're after something a little more luxurious, then how about our Bestway and Intex airbeds? Since we either sail or paddle across the bay, weight of gear isn't much of an issue, and since our boats are an inflatable kayak and an inflatable stand-up paddle board, I was already carrying a hand pump. Some camping beds even feature a headboard, and they're just the thing if you have guests coming to stay and want to ensure they get a great night's sleep.

When it has cooled down to about the hardness of plasticine, stuff it into the air mattress valve and hold it there until it's hardened. It's taken far longer than your mother can cope with, but you've finally matured somewhat beyond the nadir of your gross. mmmmh Having not taken a backup pump before and had to lie on a flat airbed, may be its still worth a try as an emergency backup.
