About this deal

It’s something I have to deal with every time she complains about things like her mother refusing to extend her curfew, let her date, or wear certain types of clothing when she’s out. Her nose always crinkles when I say, “I don’t see why you’re so upset. Your mother loves you. That’s why she’s hard on you.” I really did love this book. A lot. And it was all because of Ivy Underwood. The award-winning character of this show. She felt more genuine than most of the female protagonists I've encountered who also has the same issues. She was stubborn, sarcastic, a little bit crude, and distrustful. But she was a honest representation of a girl who suffered, who was depressed, whose past haunts her still. She wasn't sugarcoated. She wasn't pleasant. But she was a complex and an ardent character. She needs to be understood. Second, there were some actions that Aiden did, that kinda bothered me. Young Aiden was perfect. This 21 year-old Aiden is pushy af. Sometimes I feel like he didn't respect (I'll use this word since it was thrown in the book couple of times) some of the heroine' s decision.

And what can I say for Aiden??? He was having a heart made of gold and even though he wasn't broken as Ivy were, he had his own share of heartbreak and disappointments..this book was pretty good. the first half had me hooked for sure but then the second half was… kind of a turn off?? it was just repetitive and boring tbh and bad. its like 2-3 star but im feeling generous so it can have a 3 Ivy was the perfect main character because she symbolizes a very common person in our world today that no one wants to talk about. Review: I always told myself that I didn’t enjoy the really slow burn romances, but there’s something about the way B. Celeste writes that complete captivates me. I struggled a little with Dare You to Hate Me a few months ago, but when I started reading this one, I couldn't put the book down. And I credit all of that to the presence of DJ Bridges and just how incredible a character he was. If you’ve read the first book, then you’ve already met and fallen in love with DJ, but nothing will prepare you for the moment you meet him in his own book. Is that what respect means to you, my dear Aiden? To not ask for sex when this girl is struggling in her life? And now you're shoving it in her face because she didn't want to go home with you on Thanksgiving???

I loved the topics that this book covers and how real the emotions and characters were portrayed. I feel like a lot of people with connect with this story. There are quite a lot of trigger warnings about sexual assault, bullying, anxiety. So bear this in mind when going into it. In Lindon, everyone knows everyone even though the college brings in over three thousand students each semester. It’s what I imagine a real-life Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls would feel like if it were a small city. The customers who come in the bakery always have a new slice of gossip to share, and you’re never safe from being one of the topics. How can I move thee? Will no entreaties cause thee to turn a favourable eye upon thy creature, who implores thy goodness and compassion? Believe me, Frankenstein, I was benevolent; my soul glowed with love and humanity; but am I not alone, miserably alone? You, my creator, abhor me; what hope can I gather from your fellow creatures, who owe me nothing? They spurn and hate me. The desert mountains and dreary glaciers are my refuge. I have wandered here many days; the caves of ice, which I only do not fear, are a dwelling to me, and the only one which man does not grudge. These bleak skies I hail, for they are kinder to me than your fellow beings. If the multitude of mankind knew of my existence, they would do as you do, and arm themselves for my destruction. Shall I not then hate them who abhor me? I will keep no terms with my enemies. I am miserable, and they shall share my wretchedness. Yet it is in your power to recompense me, and deliver them from an evil which it only remains for you to make so great, that not only you and your family, but thousands of others, shall be swallowed up in the whirlwinds of its rage. Let your compassion be moved, and do not disdain me. Listen to my tale; when you have heard that, abandon or commiserate me, as you shall judge that I deserve. But hear me. The guilty are allowed, by human laws, bloody as they are, to speak in their own defence before they are condemned. Listen to me, Frankenstein. You accuse me of murder, and yet you would, with a satisfied conscience, destroy your own creature. Oh, praise the eternal justice of man! Yet I ask you not to spare me; listen to me, and then, if you can, and if you will, destroy the work of your hands." Abhorred monster! Fiend that thou art! The tortures of hell are too mild a vengeance for thy crimes. Wretched devil! You reproach me with your creation, come on, then, that I may extinguish the spark which I so negligently bestowed."

About ‘Dare You to Trust Me’ by B. Celeste

Four years later, fate is bringing them on each other's path for once again and things are getting complicated... Our hero had me melting and swooning like there was no tomorrow, he was perfection. A breath of fresh air. These two just made sense together. He was her pillar of strength even when she didn't need it, she was his strength to keep him fighting for what he wanted. Even as a young chid he always tried to protect Ivy and made sure she had somewhere to go when things were tough at home. To see that carry through as an adult was so good to see. All in all, I would've appreciated more lightheartedmess in this. Because there was a point in this book where I wondered whether this couple could ever made it in the end. Everything was super gloomy and dark for them. I would've shipped her with DJ more if Aiden was not in the picture. That's how emotionless I think about their relationship altogether.

B. Celeste pull me under her spell and even though, my heart was breaking for our heroes, I just didn't want to let go... The slow burn between these two was amazing. I love this author's flawless writing style, the multi-dimensional characters and the emotional exploration of a complicated situation. Through the course of these two books, I fell so hard for Raine and Caleb and I really need to know their story in as much detail as possible. That epilogue broke me just a little. Also, Olive was such an incredible supporting character and I can’t wait to read her book next, because she was such a ray of sunshine through this story. With rumors of him being drafted to the NFL coming to fruition, I know it’s only a matter of time before we have to say goodbye again.⁣This is definitely my favorite book this month, maybe even this year. I highly recommend you grab this when it releases (march 4th!) and I look forward to B celeste's next release as always. I tried with this one for over a month. I could not get past 15 %. I read the first part of this series and it was not awesome. But I usually like B. Celeste’s books. Still, I can’t do with this book anymore. On to other things. DARE YOU TO HATE ME Is a full length New Adult | Sports Romance book by B. Celeste. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' Ivy and Aiden Your usual?” I greet him, careful to keep my tone even despite the way my skin tingles as he towers over the register.
