And honestly, the way she is written through it aggravated me to no end and her actions after just didn’t fit with the character she was supposed to be. My body trembles, and I am a silly little girl because I'd thought love would be warmth in my chest and heart, and peace and contentment in my soul.A man twice my age who kills brutally, takes territorially, and hides his emotions deep within layers of smooth control. But he’s so gentle with Cassidy there are some areas where you can see when Cassidy grabs onto some of max ‘s darkness. The sex is off the chart, the friendships are on another level and the love and loyalty is what makes this book’s heart beat.
