About this deal

The magic happens when the diesel heater draws fuel from your vehicle’s tank and mixes it with air from the surrounding environment. This combustible blend is ignited within a combustion chamber, producing heat. That heat is then transferred to the air, which is blown into your motorhome or campervan through a series of ducts or a single outlet. Noise levels are therefore not an issue at all with the 2Kw heaters at low. And at low it is heating my caravan beautifully. I have had to turn it off once due to it getting too hot in here once, the sun was out and heating the van up.

Because van diesel air heaters are fairly compact, finding a place to install one shouldn’t be too difficult. It’s best to shoot for a location that’s protected and enclosed, such as a storage cabinet. Faster equals louder. You need to run the unit at a higher setting to achieve the same heat output as the 5kW version. This means higher fan and fuel pump pulse rate (which means it’ll be louder if you’re in a larger van or you’re in a camper trailer with lots of canvas) Whilst motorhomes and campervans have a lot of similarities, there are some differences in how they might be heated, particularly if you’re designing or redesigning your own van or doing a self-build.If you are planning on using your diesel heater at altitude, then you will need to bear in mind that a budget diesel heater will struggle at around 3000 Meters, unlike some of the top-end models which are built with altitude in mind, so this is something to think about. The capacity of the PLANAR 2D air heater is between 0.8 kW and 2 kW, and it is capable of heating up 75 m3 of air hourly. It maintains excellent economy and uses between 0.1 litres and 0.24 litres of diesel per hour. If you’re reading this blog you are most likely at the starting point of planning your new campervan conversion, or you may simply want to add a system or upgrade your existing campervan heating solution? Either way, we’ll try and guide you through the benefits of installing a diesel heater. Log burning stoves get really hot (they normally burn at 650 o C and can get up to 1,100 o C!), so you’ll need to take quite a few steps to ensure a log burner is installed safely, although none of them are particularly technical.

In the event that Goods (products) become faulty during the warranty period for reasons unrelated to your actions, omissions, or misuse of the Goods, you must: The type of system fitted will depend on the year/model/make of the van- more modern vans tend to have much more efficient systems. There’s plenty of space under there, it’s nicely enclosed, and it’s away from the van’s sleeping area in most cases. Campervan diesel heater under seat.
