Unpopular things which the Great Analyst described as the nature of humanity are that humankind often find themselves filled with jealousy, enmity and show open hostility toward others. Significantly these emotions arise when others have succeeded where they have failed. Those negatives from aforementioned texts naturally introduce mankind beings into difficult circumstances, such as affecting peace on this planet. Obviously that craving and greed makes them hold on and cling onto the objects which cause their spirits to face a dilemma which sends them downwards. Presumably they instinctively know that it would bring unpleasantness to them and others in the long term as they are transient things. When their things are destroyed they desperately try to save them but they can’t. Nothing lasts long, not even the exultant mood at the time of meditative absorption. Even their own bodies will suffer this fate because decay is inherent in all things - this is the nature of life. Normal people might argue that their possessions make them genuinely happy but the Compassionate One questioned this. He spoke out that often someone's satisfaction and prosperity caused others affluenza. He described that normally, craving and greed manifests itself unconsciously in the depths of their souls as they never learned how to resist the pursuit of our desires.
Most of the time the cause of suffering arises from the individual when they focus their attention on other people without them noticing. The result is harm to both others and themselves. Extensively greed and selfishness arise and control people minds whereupon they really strive for things they desire, such as passion, fame, prosperity and earning from natural resources and other substances that belong to everyone in that region. The affluence of one person causes affluenza to others. As a consequence when they get something that gives them pleasure they immediately start to worry about losing it because they see it as valuable. It is too difficult for them to stop the increasingly eager pursuit of objects with even more effort! Monks!
