About this deal

It is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store, compact, and travel-friendly. It has gum pressure control to remind you if you go above the gentle brushing routines. The 2 year warranty on all these electric toothbrushes can be extended to 3 years if you register online. Verdict: Value for Money The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 Electric Toothbrush comes with a travel case where you can store the electric toothbrush handle and two electric toothbrush heads. It is a pretty simple construction however it has some neat design features. Technically at least though, the Pro 3 – 3000 is the superior and arguably ‘better’ toothbrush. However, in practice, the differences are subtle and don’t make the Pro 3 an absolute must buy over the Pro 2.

The Oral-B Pro 2 2500W comes with the whitening brush head, which I am not keen on. The whitening brush head has a rubber cup in the middle of it, which looks similar to a hygienist polishing bur. I think this is too aggressive to use on a daily basis. If you do end up getting the Oral-B Pro 2 2500W, I would recommend purchasing some CrossAction brush heads separately. It also reminds you when to give a pause to your brushing session. Power lasts for 2 weeks after charging for a single time. So, you need not worry about charging it always. Another neat design feature is the rear-mounted pressure sensor, which illuminates red to tell you you’re applying too much force and pressure to the teeth during cleaning. Acting as a visual indicator, it really helps to make you more aware of any bad brushing habits you've fallen into thus reducing the chance of you doing any damage to the teeth. It’s a simple yet clever design detail that works exceptionally well and helps you to brush your teeth the way your dentist would want. Whilst I do agree that it will have some impact on how well plaque can be removed, there is little evidence that I have seen that highlights or confirms that additional brush head movements are that beneficial in plaque removal.

Oral-B Pro 2 2500 - Pros & Cons

You will get 56 minutes of cleaning which is two weeks worth of brushing twice a day for 2 minutes. The battery life is much better because of the lithium ion battery. Should I leave the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 charging after every use? Hopefully, this gives you a good overview of where various brushes fit in in terms of price and features, but if not please leave a comment or question. The new magnetic driven motor is quieter and the way it works produces a cleaning sensation that is similar, but different.

Whilst power is far from the most important factor in achieving good cleaning results, I am often asked how many oscillations and pulsations models offer. It is relatively easy to spot out of the corner of the eye or in the mirror if you brush in front of one. You don’t get any vibration or alert through the handle like you do with the Sonicare 3100 Series. It should be noted, that the brush heads supplied with either the Pro 2 2000 or 3 – 3000 can differ. Most common is the CrossAction or 3D White brush head. But there are a few different options. The reality is, you could use any mode on the brush to clean your tongue just ending the clean sooner. Although the speed and number of oscillations will be different.

The great number of choices you have within the Oral-B range can make it really quite difficult to decide which toothbrush is right for you. Both offer the standard daily clean mode and a more gentle sensitive mode. But, the Pro 3 offers a third brushing mode, known as whitening. All three of the electric toothbrushes are mid range electric toothbrushes built by Oral-B. They all provide different advantages and disadvantages but which one provides you with the best features, best value for money and best portability. Find out in the detailed review below. 1) Features: Oral-B Pro 2000 vs 3000 vs 2500 It does not mean the brush will actually clean the teeth better. In fact, both have the same motor inside and the same cleaning modes. If you hadn’t already grasped, the Oral-B range of electric toothbrushes is more confusing than they need to be.

You have to stand in front of your smartphone when brushing and can’t really move as the brush movements need to be seen by the camera. The problem is in my opinion that making too much of a thing of the brush movements may mean users are looking for the fastest and most powerful all the time, thinking this is better, when really it is not all that important. BUT, one of the biggest flaws of the Smart 5 is the fact that you can’t easily tell what cleaning mode you are using. The Genius resolves this issue to a point with a series of icons that illuminate on the handle when the selected mode is in operation. The power button on the Pro 3 does provide some texture and grip for the finger. And although the 3000 is now all smooth touch plastic, it isn’t as slippy as you might expect. The Oral-B Pro 2000, 3000 and 2500 all use the 3D oscillating rotating mechanism of action at 40,000 pulsations and 8,800 oscillations per minute. They will therefore clean your teeth with the same power on the daily clean mode. The Oral-B Pro 3000 trumps the others by being able to adjust the pulsations and oscillations with a sensitive cleaning mode. If you do not have sensitive teeth, this function will be irrelevant for you.
