About this deal

At just 260 x 900 x 1180mm, the Shark CZ500UKT is a small cylinder vacuum cleaner. It looks great, though, with plenty of curves and rose gold details around the body. It weighs 7.99kg, which makes it quite a heavy cleaner overall – but that weight is across the body, tools and wand. The main body weighs just 4kg, making it quite easy to lift. The length of the hose enables you to get into hard-to-reach areas, and up numerous steps on the staircase without having to move the cylinder often. The wand even offers enough reach to clean around your ceilings. The Shark’s brush has two modes – the floor cleaning mode and the carpet cleaning mode. Interestingly, the brush doesn’t rotate on the floor mode. A Shark model using a traditional drive belt may experience issues with spinning if the belt is damaged. This belt is essential for making the brush move. There are other handhelds that offer greater suction, but Shark’s clever design traps the collected dirt in a secondary chamber away from the vacuum workings, which helps ensure the vacuum doesn’t clog up or lose suction while you’re still cleaning.

If it doesn’t work, you must try to identify what’s causing spinning problems in a brush. Accordingly, you can take the necessary steps to restore the motion of your rotator brush. While cleaning carpets, the brush rotates to dig out all the hair and stubborn debris. So turn the roller brush switch to the carpet cleaning mode. c) Unclean Brush Head If your vac’s parts are old and worn out, you may also experience hose connection problems. You can easily get a replacement hose to get rid of these issues. g) Unclean Filters

The Shark rotator and the bristles may end up with hair, fur, dust, dirt, etc., which can clog it. It can even affect the suction power of the machine.

Pull out everything wrapped around the bar by hand or with scissors. Removing the tangled hair, cobwebs, etc., will help a clean roller brush spin smoothly. d) Full Dust Cup Your Shark brush roll may refuse to spin because the dust cup is full. Emptying the hoover dust bin improves the vacuum’s suction and overall performance. Always ensure that your Shark hoover is powered and all parts are properly attached – as indicated by a green light. Also, make sure the machine is clean, well-maintained, and in the right mode.As with Shark’s most recent upright cleaners, such as the NZ850UKT, the DuoClean head here has a soft roller for hard floors and a brush for carpet, with a set of LEDs that light up the path you’re cleaning. A handheld vacuum won’t replace either of the other types but is a very useful device to have around as a secondary option. These smaller units are easier to get out and use, particularly if you only need to gather up a small spill. They’re ideal for cleaning in places that are problematic for bigger vacuums, such as your car boot, and are useful to have close to hand in the kitchen, garage or utility room. Other Shark features to look out for: Lift Away: Some of Shark’s upright vacuums can be lifted off the motorised floor head and carried around, which is good for cleaning stairs and high places. The handle is removed from the extension pole and attachments can be added, adding greater flexibility to what are otherwise large and heavy vacuums. Sometimes, we overlook a loose motorized floor nozzle. If the floor nozzle is properly connected, the brush will spin.
