[3] On August 11, 2021, Brad Winderbaum revealed that the series would feature a photo-realistic animation style. [5] I am Groot is a series of 5 short animated shorts. Very little is else known about the upcoming series of shorts, other than it features the plant-like organism Groot the hero with very few words. On July 22, 2022, at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, it was announced that the first season of the series would be released on August 10.
