Self cleaning. This does an okay job, but cannot be compared to a self-cleaning oven. You put a bowl of water in and hit go, so effectively you are steam cleaning the oven interior. It's fine for regular maintenance. Microwave ovens are great for heating moist stewy foods but usually struggle with crispy ingredients like pastries, quiches and pizza, which is why we'd usually recommend a combi.
