About this deal

Cheating: Yes The h is technically still married to OM when she is with the H. The H's husband cheated on her multiple times and even with her "best friend". There are side characters that cheat as well. I loved how they opened up for each other. They started to develope a friendship. They were perfect for each other, because they undersood the other. I loved to read how their relationship developed. While they found each other, they found themselves too. This author writes flawlessly and lyrically. Every word is chosen wisely so it can bring out the best of this world. I feel like I'll be giving away the whole gist of the story if I say more... so I'm going to end this before my mouth runs away with me...

The second half of the book was much stronger for me. Everything came together. There were some interesting revelations that I did not see coming. And I enjoyed the narrators much more. But Grace - rich girl - pastor daughter - Grace .... she intrigues him and infuriates him. She's the poster child for everything that's wrong in this little town. The royal pastor princess. Thinking she's so much better than his dad and him. But the more he gets to know her, the more he realizes she's not like her mother and the other town idiots.

Disgrace is another outstanding, emotionally charged and gripping read written by the very talented Brittainy Cherry. She evoked so many feelings and emotions from me. Disgrace is a story of love, healing, sacrifice and courage. After all this poor heroine suffered (betrayal by her cheating husband, brainwashing by her parents, 7 miscarriages) I wished for a stronger man for her.

There’s no need for me to tell you if you’re looking for a nice emotional read, then this one is for you. You just need to read it. I love Grace's sister, Judy, she is so amazing and unexpected, as well as, her other best friend, Josie. Their common heartache was a bit much to take...I just can't imagine. Grace has loved and been with Finn since she was fifteen years old, her first love. Exactly Fifteen years later we see them wrapping up their lives together, him walking out the other door for another woman, leaving Grace beyond devastated, barely able to breathe. Because love—real love—didn’t mean always holding the same beliefs. It didn’t mean we had to see eye to eye on every subject. Yet what it did mean, what real love stood for was a mutual understanding. A respect for one another’s dreams and hopes and wishes and fears.” Grace Harris which is her maiden name, because I want to forget the man she is married to. Grace's life has so much emotional damage that I don't even know how this woman stands. The loss of so many angels that were never able to see the light of day took such a toll on her marriage and self-esteem. Having been betrayed by those close to her, she finds comfort in a man that is not exactly liked around her small town. From being the town princess to now the talk of the town, returning home hits harder than she had expected. Will she be able to keep her head up and be the perfect preacher's daughter that her mom expects her to be or will she lose her mind and the only man that makes her feel sane?

I took a deep breath. "I don't care." -- I still can not figure out why her mother has a problem with her, unless it has something to do with her mother being a preachers wife and she takes it seriously. And maybe the heroine is not perfect enough for her. So what, what people thinks.. Goodness. She is a grown woman. It’s easy to judge others from afar. It’s easy to look outside your world and make blanket statements and judgents on who those people are. Because when you see others’ flaws, you somewhat justify that your flaws are better than theirs. But when you zoom in, when you truly look at the person beside you, you’ll see many of the same things. Hope. Love. Fear. Anger. Once you zoom in, you realize we are all similar in so many ways. We all bleed red and even monster’s hearts can break. Just gotta remember to always zoom in.”

Ugh, I'm still not done being mad at Grace's mom. I could hate-rant on forever .... I wanted to throw her mother out the nearest window! But ... tiny little spoiler??? Her mom does come around in the end. Thank you Jesus! ☺ Ahhh I'm so nervous about this book because whenever I read one of Ms.Cherry's book, I always end up crying like a baby... :'(
