About this deal

If you have a puppy pulling on a leash, our Halti Training range can help! We recommend that walking-on-the-lead training is only done for a short period each day, and within the overall scope of your puppy’s recommended daily exercise allowance. It is important to note that lead walk training should only be a part of your puppy’s daily exercise which should also include a wide range of activities to aid mental stimulation and early socialisation. A common guideline for estimating a daily exercise level for your puppy is 5 minutes of exercise per month of age, twice a day. So for example, a 5-month-old puppy could have 2 x 25-minute walks daily. However, you should consult with your vet on the appropriate number of minutes per day as a puppy’s breed and development stage will also play a role in the overall exercise time. Senior dogs (those over 7 years) may naturally start to exercise less by walking rather than running and playing. It maybe helpful to break up your older dogs exercise into smaller sets so for example 2 x 30 min walks rather than going out for an hour. It is important to remember that dogs will often keep walking and playing regardless so it is up to us to ensure our dogs activity levels are appropriate. Look out for signs that your dog is struggling with the level of exercise you are giving him, these may include; Adult dogs can have longer walks as long as they are fit and healthy; 45 mins to 2 hours exercise will be sufficient for most adult dogs. The Halti No Pull Harness provides a simple solution for any dog that pulls on the lead. The combination of a no pull lifting action and front control steering makes training easy and can be used individually or together to manage different levels of pulling.Paired with the Halti Training Lead, the Halti No Pull Harness provides immediate control for even the strongest pullers, so you can walk happy with Halti.

If you are really struggling to manage with a puppy pulling on the lead we would recommend speaking with a vet recommended dog trainer or behaviourist to get some advice on how best to train your young dog not to pull. PERFECT FIT - the Halti No Pull Harness comes in 3 different sizes and is fully adjustable to fit most dogs.Use our size guide to find your dog's perfect fit

BETTER TOGETHER - to get the best no pull training experience, use the Halti No Pull Harness with our double clip Halti Training Lead KIND and HUMANE - the lightweight design allows for full range of movement and the padded chest and leg straps keep your dog comfortable during walks The first consideration when exercising puppies is the closure of the growth plates; growth plates are soft areas that sit at the ends of the long bones in puppies and young dogs. Until the growth plates close, they are soft and vulnerable to injury. In puppies, this closure is normally completed by approximately 18 months old and until this time, exercise should be carefully monitored. This is important as unlike a sprain, injuries to the growth plate may not heal properly and are likely to be problematic for life! As a rule of thumb puppies should have 5 mins of exercise, per month of age twice daily. For example, a 5 month old puppy can have 2 x 25 minutes.
