About this deal

This story is a bit of Watershipdown mixed with Lord of The Rings, and then for children of about 10 years old. An adventurous, imaginative story full of humor, warmth and loss. I brought this book out of the library for my daughter. A gamble. But she loved it. So much that she made me read it. And so I did.

When Podkin, Pook and Paz escape from Munbury warren at the beginning of The Legend of Podkin One-Ear, the bard says ‘That terrible night will only be remembered by those poor little rabbits, and they will never speak of it again.’ What do you think happened? Could you write an extra chapter about their escape from the Gorm and their night in the frozen woods? ;) It feels like the protagonists come out on top maybe a little bit too easy in the end. Everything leading up to it is set up quite well though, so it all does make sense. This story was brought along by a traveller who told young rabbits the legend of Podkin one ear.The three musketeers [Podkin, Pook and Paz] try to defeat the terrible, selfish Gorm, who is an evil, iron character. They try to defeat the Gorm because their father got killed which isn’t fair for them. On the way they meet other GREAT characters who come to help. This book is about a strange rabbit and he only has one - ear and his name is Podking one ear and on Christmas eve another rabbit reads him cheerful stories. I think this book would be suitable for ages eight and above. I would recommend this book because it is a very entertaining book and I enjoyed it. Podkin one ear was a fantastic adventure to go on and read, which I will never forget how great it was, neither will you. It’s jolly good fun . . . expect sequels to breed like . . . well, rabbits.’ SFX on T he Legend of Podkin One-Ear

Overall, I loved this book just because it was unique and surprised me in a positive way as I did not think I would read such a heartwarming book with what it looked like on the cover. When the bard is suggesting some stories to the children, he mentions the tales of Beobunny and The Fisher Rabbit. What do you think they might have been about? Could you write your own version? The World Of Podkin One-Ear (Longburrow in the US) is a series of epic children’s fantasy stories set in a world of rabbits. There are currently six books published, with another arriving in September 2023. There will be nine books overall. The Legend of Podkin One-Ear The ending was strange because you don’t know what is coming and has a slight wobble and made me feel emotional. Even though this book was good, the starting didn’t give me a great impression until I got in to the story. The book is about Three Rabbits that travel through a wood/forest and one of the rabbits ear gets sliced off and that is why it is called The Legend of Podkin one-ear. I love this book and I think you will too if you read it. I think children 10+ if they are intarested . I really recommend it to people that like animal stories.

The Gift of Dark Hollow was nominated for the Carnegie Award 2019. Illustration by David Wyatt The Beasts of Grimheart I really enjoyed this book my favourite part is when podkin want to fight the Gorms but all he has is a sword that cuts through anything except steal I thing this book is very funny but sad because podkin loses his parents all he has is his older sister and his little brother Paz This is the alphabet that the rabbits of Gotland and Enderby use. Can you write a message in ogham? Get someone to write you one and see if you can decode it. The Legend of Podkin One-Ear’ won the Blue Peter Book Award 2017, the Prix Sorcieres 2019, was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2018 and nominated for the Carnegie Award 2018. It has also been optioned for television. Illustration by David Wyatt The Gift of Dark Hollow Uki’s tale continues! Mish" and "Mash" are a great duo, they are twins who are dwarf rabbits and great gymnasts because this used to be their hobby, travelling around entertaining people with their amazing skills till they got captured....... Following on from the first book, Podkin and Paz are now hiding in Dark Hollow warren, deep in the forest of Grimheart. The Gorm have spread even further, and they must undertake a deadly mission into the heart of their territory to find a magical weapon that might give them an edge in the coming battle. Legenda o Podkinu Jednouhom savršeno je štivo za male, ali i velike čitatelje koji su željni povratka u djetinjstvo, osjećaja očaranosti boravkom u jednom od divnih svjetova koje je Larwood ovom prilikom stvorio. Ova divno osmišljena i ispričana priča o vječitoj borbi dobra i zla – koja kao da pripada bardu koji je ispričao onoj mladoj znatiželjnoj skupini – izvrstan je materijal za raspirivanje mašte, buđenje i održavanje ljubavi prema čitanju i pričama, buđenje želje za otkrivanjem nečeg novog, ali naposljetku i poučna priča s lekcijama skrivenim između redaka. its about a little rabbit who only has one ear and his name is podkin and on Christmas eve a rabbit comes and tells him a cheerful Christmas story. I think it would be suitable for ages 8-10. I would recommend this book because it is a good book and fun to enjoy. After capturing Charice, there is only one spirit left for Uki to find: Mortix, the most dangerous of all. With his friends Jori, Cole and Kree, Uki heads to Eisenfell – the greatest city in Hulstland – only to find that Mortix has taken control of Emperor Ash and is plotting to conquer the whole Five Realms with her terrifying army.
