About this deal

He loves a good meme and crops up in posts from lots of people I follow in music and fashion circles.

his journey from villain to real life hero is one of the most beautiful examples of humanity I have ever witnessed. If you’ve ever been that person - the one still leaning on someone’s kitchen counter at 7am, desperate to cling onto the last dregs of a party - the person who doesn’t want to go home, who can’t even sit with themselves for a second. I’d give this book to every single one of my party people and dare them to not find themselves in these pages.

I could not book this book down, an explicit writing of a young man's life journey, with all the highs and lows of a confused and hurt child, to a strong and loving adult who travelled through a difficult life of drug abuse to self enlightenment. I admire his bravery in writing such an unvarnished memoir and not hiding or minimizing events in which he was less than kind. It was an odd experience to read passages of this book and remember the people mentioned and places, times that some of the events took place. It's fascinating to hear the story of a life woven around so many familiar names (people and places) and getting a new insight into them. It’s honest, it’s raw and it’s opened up my eyes to a lot of unresolved trauma that I have been carrying that I possibly wouldn’t have recognised before now but please do not think it’s a self help book, it’s witty and it’s real - I’m going to recommend this to some friends who I know will also take away something more from this. As such, when Tony talks openly and frankly about abuse (in multiple senses), rehab, mental health, dealing with homophobia, HIV/AIDS, prison, and what a life in recovery has been like for him, one is able to relate to them that much more. Unfortunately his ego and staggering grandiosity get in the way of what could have been a really interesting and inspiring book.

Now, he is 16 years sober and, alongside working to help others overcome addiction, DJing for everyone from Elton John to Louis Vuitton and the Beckhams - and running one of lockdown's most popular Instagram accounts with its wickedly funny memes. Drawing a vivid portrait of Britain's street culture from the 1980s to the noughties, DJ Fat Tony describes his childhood on a London estate where he honed his petty criminality, was abused by an older man and became best friends with Boy George. MARC JACOBS The outrageously candid memoir from club culture's most beloved - and notorious - DJ, Fat Tony. Biography: Tony Marnoch (Author) Fat Tony - real name Tony Marnoch - is the 16-years sober DJ who first found fame on the London social scene in the 1980s as a DJ, best mate of Boy George, and any other name you might want to mention from the time.Anyone can get a party started, but no one keeps it going like Fat Tony, the energy never dips and what a life he's lived.

Even though the purchase didn’t go quite as planned the communication was great and dealt with in a very professional manner. He has played for everyone from Prince to Madonna, and club-hopped his way through the '90s with friends such as George Michael, Neneh Cherry and Kate Moss. The bestselling LGBTQ+ graphic novel about life, love, and everything that happens in between: this is the fifth volume of the Heartstopper series. Some chapters I found the timelines abit off and in some bits did repeat itself quite a-bit in some paragraphs , but despite those small things you really get the sense that this is Tony writing this and no one else .

Completely recommend, although it deals with some very dark subject matter and is incredibly sad in parts it is also hilariously funny and uplifting. Now, he is 14 years sober and, alongside working to help others overcome addiction, DJing for everyone from Elton John to Louis Vuitton and the Beckhams – and running one of lockdown’s most popular Instagram accounts with its wickedly funny memes. This is a highly enjoyable audiobook, I met Tony numerous times in the early 90’s when I worked at Sony.
