As the second installment in the “Legacy of God” series, “God of Pain” continues to captivate readers with its thrilling storyline. Why is it so in my fashion to be the one crying the loudest about the all lucky arc readers out there who had got their hands on this book first and also to eventually wind up being the last person to actually read the book? He staked his claim towards Anni in front of everyone and just couldn’t stand anybody taking up her thoughts or time that wasn’t him. Listen any offspring of Aiden King AKA one of my book boyfriends AKA another fictional man I will defend is amazing in my eyes! Annika and Creighton have some cute moments and the spicy scenes were AMAZING, I want Creigh for myself.

The heroine: Annika Volkov – she is the daughter of Adrian Volkov and Lia Morelli and was born into the Bratva mafia. As she never misses, she doesn’t hit his heart and he recover but she is ousted by his family and friends and Adrian my darling comes to the UK to take her away.

He slides his thumb all over my face again, the darkness shifting, morphing, and simmering on the surface. But for some reason I had more difficulty connecting to Annika and Creighton's story than I had expected. My eyes meet his muted ones, and it reminds me of those times we got in trouble—because of his anarchist plans—and he tried everything under the sun to come out unscathed.

Annika is a brat in the best of ways and Creighton is just tortured in the best ways (get what I mean? I'm really sad and annoyed with all the universe, the second generation is honestly a bunch of spoiled rich kids who Rina is trying to force mental illness (like Annika saying she has OCD, I have OCD and this isn't OCD bitch) to justify the bad behavior ( and they look like toddlers doing pranks).Good old 'monsters, devils, deviant and demented souls' with their infinite 'thirst for blood and violence'.

There is a ton of chemistry between Creighton and Annika and though they are opposites, they are both interesting in their own way. Him for being the bad boy he is with a dark and mysterious past and her for being multi-faceted and hiding things behind such a cheerful disposition.She is the total opposite of Creighton is just about every way except she’s completely drawn to him like a moth to a flame and even when Creigh gets up and walks away repeatedly from her, he still can’t stop thinking about her. The twist in this book just crushed my heart and at the same time this characters earned my absolute respect. Aidan mentioned here that him and Asher are actually good friends and i had a eureka moment— like woahhh that makes so much sense, you guys must sit and bond over being the shittiest dads to ever exist! All this hypothetical stories and possible plots just started building in my mind and now I can’t stop thinking about Eli and Ava, Jeremy and Cecile and Brandon and Nikolai. The grandpas scenes between Daddy ahem, sorry grandpa Jonathan, grandpa Ethan and grandpa Agnus had me laughing my a off!
