About this deal

Are you a little too into gothic cathedrals? Do you like your heretics well done? Would you like to play around with one of the most characterful miniature ranges games workshop produces? Do you want a codex with both the raw power to compete at the top today and the depth to make almost any sort of build work? If the answer to any of these is yes, the Adepta Sororitas may be for you. We’re so excited to see the love you folks have for this new range – everyone here at Games Workshop put a huge amount of creative energy into remaking this faction, and it’s been truly humbling to see your response.

Most of the weird and wonderful units in the book from the wider Ecclesiarchy (except Penitent Engines for some reason) have this ability. It means that in any detachment with a Ministorum Priest (either a Missionary or a Preacher) they don’t take up any detachment slots. If you don’t have a Ministorum priest you can only include one unit with this ability in the detachment and they do take up a slot. While nobody really cares if your models aren’t the right color for the faction you’re playing (as long as it’s clear which are which if you decide to mix them), it can help you decide what to buy to have an idea what subfaction you’d like to play as. In the modern era, the Sororitas are second only to the Space Marines in the quality of their equipment, and second to none in their unwavering faith. With such a small force, the vast wealth of the Imperial Church pays the exorbitant cost of equipping every sister with power armor and the training to use it. If the Astartes form the spearhead of a crusade, the Adepta Sororitas are often its heart, bolstering the masses of the Astra Militarum with unshakable faith and bloody minded determination. A full range of Adepta Sororitas datasheets, providing tabletop rules for all the units available to the Sisters of Battle Doubling the model count can really make it hard for the enemy to actually take any objectives from you! Palatine Relic – Annunciation of the Creed: Relic condemnor boltgun. S5, AP-2 Dd3, can character snipe PSYKERS and does straight damage 3 against them.

Beautiful Models: The Sisters range is the newest plastic model range around and the models are fantastic! Fielding a Sisters Kill Team today probably means using the models from the new Army Set and they are a real joy to build and paint. HQ: Canoness, Inferno Pistol (or Plasma Pistol), Blessed Blade, Warlord Trait: Blazing Ire, Relic: Mantle of Ophelia We were kinda hoping for two wounds because we are guessing the points cost for these will be fairly high. However the shield will give them a decent invuln, so hopefully, they will be able to survive the shooting phase regularly. Right out of the gate, these aren’t front-line brawlers, and that was clear since the preview of their models. Her Auto-Tapestry of the Emperor’s Judgement is insanely strong, getting all 6 sacred rites active in a bubble once a game for a turn is extremely good. Recount the Deeds of the Saints is also a nice targetted re-roll for one unit allowing a hit, a wound, and a damage dice to be rerolled. Celestian Sacresants For the first half of Blessing options, Divine Deliverance has a strong constant ability, essentially giving you a 50-50 shot of turning off some aura abilities, which can be very strong. However, the Miraculous portion is mediocre, allowing you to at most lower a unit’s leadership by 3.

Army Lists

The Hallowed Martyrs detachmentemphasisesthe righteous fury (and disdain for personal safety) of the Sisters with its ‘Blood of Martyrs’ special rule. As soon as a unit in this detachment is below starting strength (or has lost one wound, in the case of a single-model unit), it gains +1 to Hit. It also gets +1 to wound when it drops below half strength. As the rank and file of the Adepta Sororitas, it falls to Battle Sister squads to hold the battlefield’s vital points in the face of whatever the enemy might throw at them. Defenders of the Faith makes them incredibly tenacious when guarding an objective, with foes needing to press through a storm of boltgun fire only to find the Battle Sisters shrugging off wounds that would lay any normal human low.

Sisters of Battle received the last “full” codex released for 8th, a strong, well-designed book building on the lessons learnt by the developers throughout the edition, and players saw decent success with armies build around their powerful melee units and characters. 9th Edition, however, is where the Adepta Sororitas have really come into their own. The melee and board control elements are well-suited to playing the GT2020 missions, and the wargear updates that accompanied the release of the Space Marine codex have given many of the army’s ranged units a massive power boost. That has put the Sisters in the enviable position of being one of the game’s current armies to beat, taking a Tier 1 slot in our most recent tier list update at the time of writing and with multiple builds proving themselves worthy of taking podium spots at events. Whether you’re a long-term, dedicated fan of the faction or want a brand new army to flex your competitive muscles, there’s never been a better time to try out the Adepta Sororitas on the tournament scene, so if that’s got you fired up, read on! Either way, the models look great, and hobbyists will be able to get started this year on their armies! Painted versions of what appear to be the models on this sprue were also spotted. Depth– There are few bad units in the sisters codex, and they can be built to fit a lot of different play styles. Not only does this mean you can generally play with the models you think look the coolest, but you also are unlikely to be left behind by a shift in the meta. You can only take 1 Repentia in a team but you’ll want two in your roster, one as a Combat Specialist and one as a Zealot. This gives you the option of running with Pious Vorne or a Zealot Endurant. As mentioned, pop these in the Rhino and arm them with Multi-Meltas and they’ll pretty much turn anything they shoot into liquid metal once they open up. They may be a one use only unit once your opponent sees what they can do so try and hit them where it hurts on the first time of use.

If you’re dying to know what’s coming inside the new Sisters of Battle 40k army box for this holiday season, you’ll definitely want to see this! Imperium, Aeldar, or Chaos is basically a unifying key between multiple factions from several codexes. So in the imperium example it’s like IG allied with space marines or space marines with knights. For chaos it would be demons allied with chaos marines. Any army not using a “pure” single faction army would fall into the master categories.
