This is a DIY friendly bundle. Mix a little at a time to suit your needs. The working time is 1 hour, and it is possible to re-seal the Easihold tub and use at a later date.The homeowners are reluctant to do away with the look and feel of gravel by having the area paved solidly with, say, flags or setts, only to have them go green with algae and need regular washing down to swill away dirt, while the cost and inconvenience of a conventional resin bound surfacing seems barely justifiable.
Easihold is perfect for stones 4mm to 10mm in diameter. Larger stones can still be bonded successfully, up to 20mm, but the strength is reduced for larger stones and so we wouldn't recommend for walking on. Easihold is effective down to a maximum depth of 25mm. 20mm depth is generally the best depth for stones when treated with Easihold. I’d suggest either the BT Big Button Phone or the Geemarc Amplidect 295, both mentioned above, in case of emergency.
When this doesn’t happen – for example in cold conditions or if you have applied too much Easihold and the stones are over saturated; the crosslinking process will not occur, and the final result will be compromised You can buy suitable stones in most DIY shops, but we have our own range of fantastic 4 to 6mm decorative stones for use with Easihold.We recommend to top-up your Easihold fixed stones annually to maintain stability and for an even more robust finish, we also produce a range of resin-bound surfacing products. We would recommend between 4mm and 10mm diameter for the best bond. But you can use stones up to 15mm and still achieve good results. Even larger stones can be bonded if clean and angular, but we wouldn't recommend for any foot traffic. This bundle contains 1 x 5 litres of Easihold and 4 x 25kg bags of washed and dried decorative aggregate which are mixed together either in full or in proportional mixes.
