The DeWalt DWE7485-GB 240V 210mm 1850W Compact Table Saw, a high-performance tool that is a must-have for any tradesman. You may be familiar with their bestselling DW745 Table Saw - so what is the difference between the two and what makes the DWE7485 better? The DWE7485 has a high power motor that provides extended durability, efficiency and the power to cut all construction timbers.

Lovely machine but the only two draw backs are 1) sliding gauge is a little sloppy in the track on the table and 2) even with vacuum cleaner connected and turned on it’s still a little dusty to use in the shed! The cast aluminum top , ground to ensure maximum precision, is able to accommodate large-sized materials, up to 622 mm wide.

Recently, I found out that I was reviewing another DeWALT job site Table Saw and wondered what the deal was? The rack and pinion fence allows for accurate, fast adjustments and provides the capacity to rip 8x4 sheet materials. However it does have its faults, the table is not perfectly flat and dips slightly in the middle, also the coating Dewalt applies to the Table causes the mitre slots to vary slightly in width when used with a perfectly milled runners (I had to sand the channels slightly to remove some of the coating to get the runners to run freely, maybe I got a ‘Friday afternoon saw’! DeWALT Job Site Table Saws are the workhorse of the woodworking and construction community for a reason.

Please advise what is the difference between the table saws by DeWALT under reference DWE7485 and DWE7485-QS.

Cuts beautifully, the fence is a dream to use not liking the angle change (pull/push) would of preferred a crank handle like to raise and lower the blade fence locks solidly.
