About this deal

You don’t get a fancy light show with flashing and breathing color, but it does create a nice soft blue glow on the desktop and behind the panel. The Dell has much better ergonomics, allowing you to place the screen how you like, and it's better for well-lit rooms as it gets brighter and has much better reflection handling. The Dell has better ergonomics, better reflection handling, and higher peak brightness in both SDR and HDR. In displays, which have a native resolution (the TFT ones, for example), the pixel pitch depends on the resolution and the size of the screen. The Dell S2721DGF and the Dell S2722DGM use different panel technologies, each with strengths and weaknesses.

The back has a different design than other Dell S-series monitors we've tested, like the Dell S3220DGF. The S2721DGF uses an IPS panel, and it has better ergonomics, better viewing angles, better reflection handling, and better gradient handling. Please do not feel any sense of urgency based on our data, we exist only to help you save money in a calm and well-thought out manner.

The Dell has significantly better ergonomics, faster response time, and its IPS panel provides much wider viewing angles. Unfortunately, our Dell S2721DGF 27 has bad black uniformity, but this can vary between individual units. Although it's a bit bulkier overall than most Dell monitors, you can still place small objects in front of it. The 27 inch, 1440p screen is great for multitasking, and it has wide viewing angles and excellent ergonomics, so you can easily share your screen with someone else. Hard drive retention: Hard drive retention is not available on models with a soldered hard drive, including XPS 9315 2in1, Chromebooks or Venue tablets, except the Venue 11 Pro.

This card easily maxed the frame rate at 165 fps in all the games we played with detail set to maximum. When running this monitor at 60Hz, the overall uniformity is a bit worse, and there's a row of pixels near the bottom of the screen that is noticeably darker than the rest. On the other hand, the Dell has much better reflection handling and faster response time, resulting in clearer motion.Despite the S2721DGF’s less than stellar SDR contrast, it provides an excellent gaming experience, thanks to its bright, saturated color and perfect video processing, plus impressive HDR image and perfect video processing.

We recommend calibration to dial in the grayscale tracking, but color gamut accuracy is very good out of the box. Display Information about the main characteristics of the display - panel, backlight, resolution, refresh rate, etc. Information about the maximum horizontal viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. Undistorted gameplay: NVIDIA ® G-SYNC ® Technology and AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro technology adds another layer of seamless, low latency HDR gaming by eliminating screen tearing and stuttering. The 'Fast' overdrive setting is the recommended one, as the higher settings are slower overall, with more noticeable overshoot. There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. Flicker free: Controlling the brightness using a direct current enables a flicker-free screen, giving you a more comfortable viewing experience. Unless you cancel, you will be charged the then current regular membership rate when the promotional period ends. Thanks to a large and accurate DCI-P3 gamut with almost 93% coverage (as you'll see in our upcoming tests), every workday task was rendered in vivid hues.
