About this deal

Has anyone used the TS308 yet? What are your thoughts relative to the TS310/TS210? It is only slightly less costly, so that is not my concern at all. I do appreciate the smaller footprint. My plan is to get 2 of whatever I decide, so as they say, size matters. The Alto TX 3 series starts with the TX-308, a compact powered PA speaker ideal for smaller sound requirements, portable setups and monitoring. I would've loved to have the multi-input mixer section that many powered speakers feature...it would allow this to be used as the main sound reinforcement for a very small gig (think small coffee shop, etc).

Okay, so before I bought this, I pretty much read every single review I could find, but nobody really had any experience using it as an FRFR guitar speaker with a modeler or preamp pedal plus a cab sim / IR. Powered, portable PA loudspeakers are a workhorse product that we’ve all relied on at some point. If you need a portable PA system for DJ’ing or general sound reinforcement, you can’t argue with the convenience of powered PA speakers. Furthermore, they’re extremely convenient for use as on-stage monitors to supplement a larger, install PA rig. There are roughly three pricing areas when it comes to these type of speakers. The pricing is really based on what market segment they're targeted at and the features and capabilities that appeal to those segments. The Alto is pretty much the low end pricing and is targeted for general use with a big market segment in mobile DJs and the Dance Mix crowd. For that reason they provide a fair amount of wattage for the money but very little in capabilities to contour the sound of the speaker other than boosting the bass frequencies.designs, with a long-excursion woofer and a 1-inch compression driver in a precision horn. This horn design of the TX3 Series improves So: though it doesn't offer the versatility one of those would offer, it fulfills its' intended role very nicely. It sounds terrific - very clean with no tinny highs or muddy lows/sloppy mids; and it's plenty loud and doesn't break up at high volumes.

Enclosure: Injection-moulded polypropylene, multi-angle for main or monitor applications, metal grille, rubber feet, 1 handle on topDespite the popularity of mini line‑array systems for small venues, there’s still a healthy market for the more conventional box‑style speaker. That’s an area Alto have much experience in, having produced a number of affordable point‑source speakers over the years that perform surprisingly well for their price. Their new TX range is designed in the US but manufactured ‘offshore’, and we’re informed that it is underpinned by some of the technology used in the company’s more costly TS3 series. The TX range goes from an 8‑inch model, via 10‑ and 12‑inch designs, up to a 15‑inch version. I chose the 10‑inch TX310 for this review, as it is well‑suited to smaller venues, is adequately loud with a reasonably wide frequency response, and is easily portable. You should get an instant answer on whether your application has been successful, though in some rare cases Klarna or V12 may need to look at the application in more detail. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.
