I am going to get the Frostgrave Demons wings from NorthStar as I couldn’t think of an easy way to do them myself and I think I would benefit from some when I get around to playing The Red King Expansion. For someone who wanted very badly to keep the demon in his head a secret or risk major consequences, he sure did talk to ‘himself” A LOT, out loud, where other people could hear him.

The Leadbelcher is so grainy but it worked out ok for this battered look to the armour and some Runefang Steel silver caught the edges and gave me some scuffing. I know it looks slightly unnatural, but I can believe it is on a forward swing from over her left shoulder. To say this book is entertaining would be like saying the Grand Canyon is just a hole in the ground.I highly recommend it to anyone who is into slow paced, character and story driven narratives with heeps of amazing worldbuilding. And the main character, Tarkosi is an absolute turd and I'm all for it, especially when he's paired up with Serisi. As you can read from the book description the main character ends with a demon lurking in his soul and as a result his magical abilities grow at an extremely rapid pace and it's executed very well. I get the feeling that there’s scope to make up your own rules for a Revenant Remnants warband of humans.

Seeing him as a sap-bringer for the warriors' giant birds was great fun, and I was super interested in the louse-mines, which I am disappointed we didn't get to read more about.Every single detail about them feels real and thought out, and it was a treat peeling back the layers as we get to know them and their backstories more. Estes and Galley provide a gorgeous map of Shal Gara which is immensely helpful for readers learning their way around. David lives in Hawaii with his beautiful Aussie wife, Adele, his naughty cats, Bailey and Luna, and his rambunctious sons, Beau and Brody. Demon's Reign is a slow burn, story driven narrative that hinges heavily on worldbuilding and character. Ok, I was going to do the obligatory introductory paragraph where I tell you that Demon's Reign is the new collaborative tale written by David Estes and Ben Galley, and how it's about a culture that lives in a giant tree, but I decided to skip all that bumpf and just tell you that I friggin love this book.
