About this deal

Please do not sign for goods received in 'good condition' if they have visible signs of damage or have been unchecked. If you are a bit wary of working in 28mm copper then you can always use the Pegler Tectite fittings which look neat and are demountable if you need to do so. One end has a compression fitting for the copper, and the other end gets crimped onto your barrier pipe. None of the blue MDPE would be exposed to sunlight - it will run through the service void downstairs and up through the posijoists (there is a cupboard in the right palce that will allow a suitable bend rather than elbow) and pop up near the UVC/manifolds.

However, regular inspection for leaks, damage, or blockages is recommended to ensure the integrity and efficient operation of the plumbing system. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).It happened with the old one too, and it eventually died from running too long all the time, but there was an airhole on the outlet on that which you could enlarge to stop siphoning, which helped remedy it. However, it is recommended to consult with the manufacturer's guidelines or a plumbing professional to determine the suitability of reuse or repositioning. I think I may be being a bit thick, but our incoming supply is 32mm, which I'm going to run right up to the plant room and tee off to the UVC and to the cold water manifold and fit a reducer to each.

You aren't really supposed to expose MDPE to direct sunlight, so you'd normally go from MDPE to copper on entering the house.

To comply with the new e-Privacy directive we need to ask for your consent to set non-essential cookies. An alternative might then be to fit an Anti Vacuum Valve (AVV) which might have a ¾" thread and then screw into a 22mm adaptor.

The new one hasn't got an airhole like that, so I'm thinking I either need to enlarge the pipe bore at the top of the run to stop this, ot fit an anti siphon valve. You'll find loads of technical and training resources, plus pretty much everything you need to know about Hybrid and Pressfit: www. MDPE fittings are commonly used in plumbing systems for the transportation of potable water, irrigation systems, underground water mains, and other applications where the use of MDPE pipes is suitable.

However, it is important to ensure that the specific fittings used are designed and rated for the intended application and environmental conditions.
