The GSP 300 headset is a great starting point for those looking to get into Sennheiser gaming headsets - but one that can also stand in its own right given the quality, and value in particular, that it offers. As I said in my review, "getting a Sennheiser-quality headset like this, at this price point, and with this device-versatility, is an excellent proposition and one that is easy to recommend". The new Sennheiser GSP 670 uses a self-developed low-latency connection and features Sennheiser’s renowned wearing comfort and premium audio performance. The first, contrary to what one might think, is not used to turn on the headphones, but to know the battery level at any time and to force pairing in Bluetooth. The headphones are actually powered up using the large volume potentiometer: you have to increase the volume to turn it on and turn it down to the maximum to turn it off (position 0 turns it off, a very slight “notch” signaling this threshold). This is an exceptionally light model for the spec - just 322g. As such, it’s not carrying the timber most high-end headsets do. You’ll find no needless brushed steel accents here. Just lightweight plastics and soft cloth cushions around an aluminium band. Neat features like the detachable mic and its swappable magnetised cover do impress, and this is good wireless headset money.
The voice timbre is preserved and it is intelligible in all circumstances. The tight directivity of the microphone makes it possible to naturally detach the voice from the surrounding noise, but it is possible to reduce it even more significantly by using the noise gate and the noise reduction algorithm… at the cost of a less clean and detailed rendering. The GSP 670 can work through three different types of connections. The included wireless USB dongle lets you listen and talk through your PC or PlayStation 4. You can also connect the headset directly to either device with the included USB-to-micro-USB cable (which is fine for PCs, but might be a bit short to reach your PS4 from the couch). Finally, you can use Bluetooth to connect the headset to your phone or any other Bluetooth device. The headset doesn't have a 3.5mm connection option. If you are a gamer that really cares about audio quality and doesn’t want the hassle of a wired connection then the Sennheiser GSP 670 could well be the gaming headset for you. It offers wonderfully balanced audio and has one of the best mics I’ve ever tested on a gaming headset. The design is similar to the 300s, sure, but the build quality is also great and worthy of the price tag; it's excellently solid, robust, and clamps to your head and ears incredibly comfortably. Even the suede-y ear cups are lovely. And on top of that, you of course get premium Sennheiser audio quality to go with it.

All in, the fact remains that the GSP 670 is one of the best Sennheiser gaming headsets - and a seriously excellent gaming headset, period. Bluetooth integration is also of little interest in a configuration with a dual proprietary wireless/Bluetooth connection, because there is no way to switch manually and easily from one to the other, and even then less to mix the signals. Only a call on the device connected via Bluetooth will force the switch. Once done, it is not possible to easily return to the signal coming from the USB transmitter. In our case, we had to manually disconnect the Bluetooth source or turn the headphones off/on.The microphone of the Sennheiser GSP 670 fulfills its mission brilliantly and is even placed as a reference among wireless headsets. We just can’t find anything to complain about. The signal is powerful, clean and perfectly balanced. This makes the GSP 670 the ideal solution for gamers who don't want to compromise, but still want to enjoy all the flexibility of wireless gaming headsets. The microphone of the GSP 670 fulfills its mission brilliantly and is even placed as a reference among wireless headsets. We just can’t find anything to complain about. The signal is powerful, clean and perfectly balanced. In terms of comfort, the GSP 670 features plush earpads and an adjustable headband, ensuring a comfortable fit for long gaming sessions. The headset also has intuitive controls, allowing users to adjust the volume and other settings easily. The battery life of the GSP 670 provides up to 20 hours of playtime, ensuring extended use without the need for frequent recharging.

Like its wired companions, the GSP 670 has an atypical and imposing design. The headset is made mostly of plastic parts, except for the metal hinges that connect the ear cups to the headband.The EPOS GTW 70 Hybrid wireless gaming earbuds focus on offering a high-end audio experience for Switch and mobile gaming. It’s not terribly forward-thinking, offering a braided cable with only 3.5mm split cables and no inline remote, but put up with that and you get a fantastic stereo spread and long-term comfort thanks to a nifty adjustable headband tension system. As we know, Sennheiser does not like to do things like everyone else. The ergonomics of this model prove it once again. Interaction with the headphones goes through a switch, a button and two potentiometers. The sound is very different too what you’ll find on most gaming headsets. This may put off some regular, non-audio conscious buyers as the most noticeable difference is how controlled the low end is. Unlike competing sets, such as the Arctis Pro which push the low end to the point it can wonder intrude on other parts of the sound, the Sennheiser GSP 670 keep it under permanent control. This gives it a far precise sound than most headsets, but can initially feel like it’s less powerful to an untrained ear.
