About this deal

You can find all the soft glow cards, including the Sagas, in Set, Draft, and Collector Boosters, in both non-foil as well as traditional foil. Ninja Treatment Blending traditional style with a modern interpretation, the art in the ukiyo-e lands transports you into an expansive frame of mind through a mingling of realistic and fantastical elements that make you want to stare at them for hours. Channel is an ability that was first introduced in Saviors of Kamigawa. It allows you to pay a mana cost and discard the card for a pretty powerful effect. Well, sometimes. Boseiju, Who Endures features this keyword with a penchant for destruction and a clear synergy with legendary creatures. Compleated Wizards has teamed up with Beadle & Grimm’s, a company known for some pretty grand Dungeons & Dragons accessories, to bring a new bundle to the table for Kamigawa. This is for players that just really want some swag since it doesn’t come with any actual Kamigawa boosters or cards. Instead you’ll get a sweet collection of Kamigawa-themed swag and accessories.

Now we venture into the Big Finish Chapter. This chapter is about guaranteed goodies. The first slot here is your rare/mythic rare slot. This was the most exciting thing in the Draft Boosters, so we couldn't get rid of that. This acts just like the rare/mythic rare slot that you've grown to know and love in Draft Boosters. It's a beautiful day in Kamigawa as you ride your neon-wheeled motorcycle through the city center. Even in the daylight, the many neon signs glow bright with a magical aura, and you see a being made entirely of noodles walk into a coffee shop. You smile and brake for a group of Jukai historians crossing the street before maneuvering your bike into a park bursting with Japanese maple trees. Red leaves float through the air, and one lands on your picnic basket as you lift it and a blanket from your saddle bags. You settle on the bank of the river, close enough to the water to remove your boots and dip your toes in. As you do, water rises and begins to take shape. It's the river kami, and you're just in time for your lunch plans together. There are no cards in Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty that are exclusive to Japanese product. Aside from neon ink Hidetsugu—which is English only—you can open every Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty card in boosters of every language. Even in the printing processes, the traditional joins with the modern in Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty. Ninja and Samurai Treatments

Customer reviews

Hidetsugu is the infamous Ogre who merged with the All-Devouring Oni of Chaos, becoming a demon himself and the envy of Kamigawan cultists. His return in Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty embodies that theme of the old meeting the new, and he's sporting some sweet new ink. Kamigawa‘s story starts when Kaito unexpectedly meets the emperor herself, and then a man with a metal arm changes both their lives forever: Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh. On his journey to find answers, Kaito encounters a Phyrexian monster as well as another planeswalker. Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty is at the bleeding edge of enhanced treatments for Magic cards. Every rare and mythic rare in Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty has an alternate version. You'll find special lands, Ninjas, and Samurai showing off their skills, a glowing new frame, and new technology for new treatments below. Today, I'm going to talk about something we're premiering in Zendikar Rising—a brand-new type of booster. If the title didn't already give it away, it's called a Set Booster, and in today's column, I'm going to talk all about it.

If you're drafting, then you'll want Draft Boosters. About 10% of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Draft Boosters contain a rare or mythic rare with an alternate treatment. The first thing you need to know is that we’re getting a new face: Kamigawa-native and cyber ninja Kaito Shizuki. The Wanderer is also returning, and she's making quite the splash. It looks like we're getting some more details on her origins and who she is, as it's been revealed that she's the current emperor of Kamigawa as evidenced by The Wandering Emperor. Seems fitting if you ask me. The Set Booster has been designed to look very different from Draft Boosters, so you'll be able to clearly tell them apart. Here's what the Zendikar Rising Set Booster will look like. The cards were first printed using our standard traditional foil process," continued Lisa, "but we needed to remove all printed color that would have appeared underneath the neon ink. Then we silkscreened the neon ink on top of the printed card, which gives a subtle matte finish to the card surface."Kogado is an art agency based in Japan that has been in business for two centuries—yes, that's 200 years. Wizards has collaborated with the agency on past projects, including the Japanese Mystical Archive variant cards from Strixhaven: School of Mages and War of the Spark. In Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, we're using foil etching to emphasize Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty's other showcase frames. Twelve cards were carefully curated to receive the foil-etched treatment. There are one rare and four mythic rare foil-etched cards in the soft glow frame, one rare and two mythic rare foil-etched cards in the Ninja frame, one rare and one mythic rare foil-etched cards in the Samurai frame, and two foil-etched mythic rares in the Phyrexian frame. You'll be able to open them exclusively in Collector Boosters.

On top of ninjas, we're also being treated to 21 samurai creatures (plus the Wandering planeswalker) in Kamigawa, each of which will have a Samurai alternate up for grabs! These feature Japanese-style alternate art and a sharp frame similar to the Ninja treatment. Ninja Frame Collector Boosters are certainly the most exciting MTG boosters, and that’s true for Kamigawa as well. This booster box contains 12 boosters, and each one of them has 15 cards. All of them will either be in foil, or they will have the alternate art. Set Boosters are starting as an English- and Japanese-only thing, but we have plans of expanding into other languages over time.We begin with the Welcome section, which has eight slots. Its purpose is to welcome you to the booster. Daniel Holt oversaw UX design, pitching ideas, guiding the testing of assets, and ensuring all the game pieces played correctly. Every rare and mythic rare is someone's favorite card, so we make special versions of all of them. In most Magic sets, rares and mythic rares that don't get other alternate treatments appear in a special treatment with extended art. In Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, every rare and mythic rare has an alternate treatment, so we considered making no extended-art cards . . .but some people love extended art. They would be sad to see a set without it. So instead, we made extended-art versions of every rare and mythic rare in the set! Set bundles are what you want if the set really speaks to you. This has everything you need to get started in a new format, add to your collection, or enjoy a new set with your friends! The Kamigawa bundles sport some more art of the mysterious The Wanderer. Royal Mail - 1st Class - Signed For - Royal Mail's target is the next working day after the date of dispatch, excluding Sundays

Hidetsugu was chosen as an appealing card both mechanically and flavorfully for the neon ink treatment," said Daniel. "It's been 1,200 years since the original Kamigawa setting, but Hidetsugu is one of the few characters to play a role in both timelines."

You can also find a new type of foil in Kamigawa—a special neon ink treatment silkscreened on top of traditional foil, making for an extra-vibrant, uniquely gorgeous effect. Hidetsugu, Devouring Chaos claimed all of the neon ink in Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty—Hidetsugu is the only card that appears with the neon ink treatment. The goal was to create a booster that had a path that you went through as you opened it. Rather than just one excitement point, we designed the booster to have many excitement points. To do this, we've organized the booster into four sections that we're calling chapters (Welcome, Fireworks, Big Finish, and Epilogue), each with some number of cards that we're calling slots. But this new venture into Kamigawa is something new. “Neon Dynasty” doesn’t exactly scream Japanese mythology, after all. This time we’re seeing Kamigawa as we’ve never seen it before: a sci-fi city with new technology and a futuristic sheen.
