About this deal
Her brother disappeared two years ago, leaving her with no family or species to speak of. She hides among humans, spending her days working at a bar and her nights searching for him. The bleak pattern goes on and on... until she catches the eye of a powerful faerie. The world she created is absolutely amazing and I love all of the characters, even the ones that can't be trusted!' 5* reader review
You can’t be sure. He’s definitely an enigma you’d be thirsty to solve. And you’d want to find out what he hides and why. Even if you’re not a faerie fan, the novel will get you out of a reading slump. Its real-world urban setting offers you a natural presence and co-living with the main characters. The romance, of course. Though I see the potential for more than one romance, I an totally Team Collith! The bleak pattern goes on and on... until she catches the eye of a powerful faerie. He makes no attempt to hide that he desires Fortuna. And Collith! He’s so mysterious and aloof and in control. I don’t understand some of his actions and inactions but feel like Collith knows what he is doing. He is a mask of neutrality, and I just want to see underneath it! At some point, he and Fortuna are going to let their guard down, and I can’t wait! Fortuna Sworn is one of the Nightmares. The last of her race, she’s left alone, as her parents died and her brother, Damon, disappeared under strange circumstances two years ago. Unfortunately for Fortuna, it’s when you’re most vulnerable that enemies—new and old—like to come out of the woodwork…
Fortuna Sworn is the last of her kind. Her brother disappeared two years ago, leaving her with no family or species to speak of. She hides among humans, spending her days working at a bar and her nights searching for him.Fortuna is very impulsive in the first two books, and I like how Fortuna is not as ruled by impulsivity in this one. She’s become more patient and is as compassionate as always. Fortuna is a woman who will do anything for those she loves, and family is everything. She recognizes her rash actions and decisions and even tries to rectify some of them and repair the relationships she splintered. That’s not to say, she’s not impulsive. Fortuna still acts without thinking, and sometimes she needs to stop and think about the ramifications of her actions. However, she’s clearly changing. She’s showing so much emotional growth, and she doesn’t even realize it.
