This day is a great opportunity to view successful bodies of work close up and develop your understanding of photography and the RPS Distinctions process. We will present a range of submissions at all three levels, Licentiate, Associate and Fellowship, and from all genres: Fine Art, Travel, Natural History, Conceptual & Contemporary and Applied. Our aim is to promote the highest standards of photography, encourage appreciation of photography and thereby educate members of the public. The best way to do this is by inviting you to attend one of our Celebration events. This will be the first such event at our new Headquarters, RPS House in Bristol, and will take place in our superb, purpose-built auditorium. This is your opportunity to ask questions and discover how we can help you to improve your photography. We will explain:What our assessors are looking forWhat you need to doWhat to avoidHow you can join the thousands who have gained a Distinction with the Society. So do come along to both learn and be inspired by others. Successful applicants will talk about their experiences, present their submissions, and answer questions. They include 15-year-old Esme Lloyd LRPS, Emma Delves-Broughton FRPS, and Iñaki Hernández-Lasa FRPS. We will also be showing a Fine Art Associate panel shot through the window of a moving train using an iphone.
