This is the first fragrance in a series of three perfumes that I decided to try based on the intrigue generated in my mind by the name alone (though, to be fair, this one was recommended to me -- the name simply jump-started a process in my brain that turned into a sampling project of sorts). strong upfront before settling into a relatively closer-to-the-skin experience that lasts and lasts; cool, powdery, smoky and woody violets releasing wafts of their fragrance for hours before the final dry down. Yet there is a slumbering animalic note that seems almost too, devilish, to be part of this holy construct. I was not anticipating it but this element of surprise really won me over and I forgot about my associations to the other fragrances. But, one comment I must make is that (and maybe it's just my skin) don't expect too much projection.

LONG LASTING EDP (EAU DE PARFUM): Beardo Dark Side is a highly concentrated perfume which lasts longer than an EDT (lower concentration). Dark Side is similar to Goutal's Ambre Fetiche (a stand-out queen of originality and mastery in a sea of ambers), but without the unexpected nuances that add obscurity, resonance, and depth. I love this extrait , it make me feel so confortable and remarkable, when i am wearing it a feel the fragrance all the time… the leather, honey, vanilla, incense are amazing, the long lasting is awesome, my girlfriend smelt my neck the next day of i used it, and she could find the dark side.Dark Side will give you a scintillating headstart with its heady notes and keep you prepared for those close encounters. So, if you find Dior Sauvage to be one of the most merciless assaults on your senses that you've ever experienced, you will also hate The Dark Side because it utilizes the same style of overdosing an uber-amber as Sauvage (and many others, but Sauvage is the most well known example). Dark Side merges treacly undertones of Sweet Rum and Marzipan together with earthy notes of Forest Woods and Ambergris, giving this highly addictive scent an unparalleled intensity.

What I would like to add is that all three of Francesca's perfumes - althought substantially different - clearly have the "Bianchi DNA", her unique fingerprint on them. Ultimately, the "darkness" feels more like "depth" and, as others on here have commented, I also find it less "sexy" and more "esoteric". In the phase that followed an hour or two later, I got smoked honey, sandalwood and some spice notes and when I smelt it closer, it reminded me of another fragrance I own so I went to moan about it again!a lightly smoking incense gradually begins to ebb in, further reinforcing this idea, but there are no cold-stone churches here; think more an out-in-the-forest cedar wood shrine, incense burning, surrounded by violets emerging from the loam. FB is very unique with the compositions of the perfumes and I think there are not many that would be considered "easy crowd pleasers". Honey, spices, iris, violet, sandalwood, cedarwood, vetiver, amber, styrax, incense, patchouli, vanilla.When you turn around to get a better look, the shadow flees and all you see is a sweet violet questioning your sanity. But it's prized apart by a strong note of iris that beautifully introduces the idea of something living, growing and dripping with dew. Way too dense and sticky for me personally, it produces that dreaded ‘truffle' effect certain people love and others, such as myself, make sure to avoid. So, it's rather intriguing to read about it's inspiration in the cultures of North Africa, given that, for me, the incense here (a pretty dominant olfactory evocation) smells distinctly "cathedral".
