About this deal

Slopes include an approximation of the degree of the slope in their descriptions. Some common degrees are 33, 45, 65, and 75. To scale real world weight to 1 Minifigure (MF), multiply pounds (lbs) by 0.0067, tons by 13.33, and kilograms (kg) by 0.0147. This LEGO®Technic wave also introduces a lot of exciting new molds. We have taken a closer look at the new LEGO Technic elements here. New Prints - Elements that have a never-before-seen printed decoration. Note, if a new printed is also a New Mould or a Recolour, it will appear in those groups rather than in New Prints.

We get some interesting new tiles, including Tile Special 2 x 4 Inverted (3395) and Tile Special 2 x 2 with 2 Quarter Round Cutouts (3396). I have a kitchen scale that has 2 grams of precision, and a much smaller scale that works to 0.01g. Which is more precise? More accurate? How can you make one give more precise answers than the other?Lugnut says it is a gold coin, weighing in at just over 0.056 g; the flower petal is a hefty 0.064 g.

Just for fun, ever wondered how far a Lego mile would be? Only 110 feet, not much more than the distance to your neighbor's house! Next time I'll calculate a Lego Light Year and possibly a Light Sand Year, as well. The format Width x Length x Height, while common among fans, may be replaced on occasion with the more widely used standard Length x Width x Height. This is due to consistency and sorting needs among similar items, or to an alternate common name used by fans. Establishing which dimension is which for a particular part often depends on the part's common applications. For Slopes, the first dimension listed should be that of the direction of the slope. For example, the dimensions for part 4286 are 3 x 1, not 1 x 3. Be aware that as well as variations in mold design (which other answers have pointed out), even pieces from the exact same place on the same mold can have different masses. Different colours of LEGO have different densities, so even for the same volume of plastic you'll get different weights. The official LEGO scale is (presumably) 1:40. At this scale a Minifig represents a person 5' 6" tall and 2' wide. No, sweetie, you look fine like that. Very thin and pretty! Ahem.
