Very importantly, all filters take time to start working, so they’re incapable of removing pollution right at the very beginning – you need to mature them first. Medium fish: 50 (literage) / 2 (liters/cm for medium fish) = 25 cm in total for medium fish. So you can have, for example, 4 to 5 6 cm fish in that tank. If the pair happen to choose the middle of the tank to spawn, rather than one end of it, it means any other fish will have nowhere to go without being harassed by the parent fish and this happens all the time. They spawn every week or two! Just not a good scenario for any of the fish.
