About this deal

The story has been told and retold countless times, and is often one of the first stories children learn in childhood, but what does not always transfer to the different versions is Hans Christian Andersen's delightfully droll humour. The positive life-affirming message is always there, that it is important to be yourself, and this is why the story perpetuates, but there are additional nuances in the original which make it one of his most enjoyable stories. The next day, the big egg started to hatch. Out came a baby boy bird. But if one may say so, it was an odd-looking thing. This bird was much bigger than others. He was not yellow at all - he was dark-gray from his head to his feet. And he walked with a funny wobble.

He approached a crystal clear pond and saw a family of the most beautiful birds he had ever seen - swans. My little sis really enjoyed this so much! I read it to her at night. She liked it so much that she fell asleep? before I even finished the story; which is kinda rare with her because it usually takes like a hour or so to make her go to sleep. Thank you for the story!!?Gosh, I feel strong,” said the young bird, flapping his wings. “Why, I never felt as strong as I do right now!”

The Ugly Duckling Book by Hans Christian Andersen | Epic

It's a wonderful story about Self-acceptance,The Difference and how it does not necessarily mean a bad thing! at one point i did feel like i didn’t because i was much smaller than everyone, but now that i hit a growth spurt i feel i’m above them all. My little sister loved this and found it really peaceful trying not to fall asleep to it and loving all the pictures Hans Christian Andersen (often referred to in Scandinavia as H.C. Andersen) was a Danish author and poet. Although a prolific writer of plays, travelogues, novels, and poems, Andersen is best remembered for his fairy tales. Andersen's popularity is not limited to children; his stories — called eventyr, or "fairy-tales" — express themes that transcend age and nationality. In the entire book, the word ‘ugly’ appeared rather strongly for me. The definitive nature of ‘ugly’ changes when it is used as a ‘Label’. Once labeled, a person is persecuted, detested and constantly reminded of one’s deficits in such a way that the identity of a person solidifies as one of ‘handicap’; becoming a ‘self’ ruptured beyond repair. I would recommend that if you read this story to your little ones, do not just focus on imparting the above mentions lessons from the book, but also impart sensitivity to and appreciation of ‘the differences’ that exist in this world.Moral: Never judge people on their appearances. Still be friends with them whether they are ugly or normal. This is especially true in the LGBTQ community. It is getting better nowadays, but people are still rejected for who they are made to be and must go out and find their own family. The 1939 Silly Symphony". The Internet Animation Database. And I love my toys.

Question 1: I never really felt like I didn’t belong with others my age because everyone is so different where none of us are really the same. There’s always hope and there’s always a place for everyone and no matter what anyone has to say you are beautiful. Also never to judge a book by its cover and jump the gun. I’m 15 this year. But my friends didn’t like me cause I’m too short and when we play together, they said that I’m troublesome.

The story is amazing and very nice the moral to it is good and really can teach people a good lesson. For those like me who have read many of his short stories, will see some similarities. But I like them. I like you had a choice to read by yourself or have read to you and that really helpful so can we have these options more often please When I was little I was pretty tall (not anymore) and I felt left out when I was constantly looking OVER the kids head. Soon enough I learned to be confident and that it was okay to be tall. I did feel like that because I had a very low self esteem but after years went by, I focused more on my schooling career. Now everyone wants to hang out with me and include me.Yes, right now I do not feel good with people my age. It just gives me a feeling in my throat that makes me wanna cry.
