About this deal

To give the Fashion Decree away would be idiotic, because it is altogether different from the others and at the very end of the base it tops both of them. Vanilla Vibes opens with mineral-rich fleur de sel, followed by a heart of powdered vanilla and orchid. A sensual base of tonka bean, sandalwood, musk, and benzoin is revealed as the fragrance settles on the skin.

A sensual

The top is dominated by saffron. It is followed by middle notes of rose and geranium. As these fade away, they uncover the base of amber, patchouli, musk and wood notes. (Patchouli, Pogostemon cablin, is a flowering plant closely related to mint. However, its smell is very strong and earthy.) The predominantly oriental tone here is filled with mystique and faraway lands. High Price but Large Bottle I can still wallow for hours in a slightly smoky intensified Hippie Rose with a touch of Fashion Decree. Juliette Has A Gun Vanilla Vibes is the wit and playfulness of a desert sunset in a blue-to-orange glass bottle. This tribute to Californian life feels expensive with its salty edge on the timeless note – which incidentally makes this Eau de Parfum perfect for those who find themselves attracted by luxury fragrances as much as they are vanilla scents.

I would have preferred a closer Rose-Oud connection from the start. How wonderfully tight Rose and Oud can be interwoven without much to do with each other was shown to me by Thirty Three from Ex Idolo, who plays in a completely different league when it comes to price per ml.Juliette Has A Gun Not a Perfume is not perfume but, instead, an ambrox — created by Firmenich and discovered as a perfect non-perfume for modern women to enjoy. Ambrox holds the key ingredient of this enticing concoction; C16 H28 O is its formula. Ambrox replaced grey amber, which was expensive and unavailable on the mass level during its invention. This faux-fragrance will find its way into your life with great success because it smells like no other scent on earth: authentic yet startlingly sensual — just like you deserve! This fragrance with quite a lot of personality, not to mention enticing notes. The top features vanilla absolute, Amyris, and jasmine. As the perfume moves to its heart, the fragrance welcomes you with sandalwood, coconut milk, orris root, and jasmine. Leaving you to its base of iso e super and ambrette (musk mallow).

Dare to wear something that smells this good. Mmmm… is a seductive and enticing fragrance for women, launched in 2016 by the design house of Juliette Has a Gun. This alluring scent features top notes of neroli and geranium, while the orange blossom, jasmine sambac, and tuberose heart will make you sigh with pleasure. If you’re looking for an intimidating yet intriguing experience, take on one more layer of temptation with your eyes closed – the provocative base made up of white musk, patchouli, heliotrope, caramel, and vanilla. Midnight Oud is an artisanal fragrance from Juliette Has a Gun targeted towards consumers seeking an exclusive scent. It has been turning heads since 2009. This long-lasting parfum has considerable sillage since the concentration of essences is very high. Most eau de parfums have between 15-20%. Oud dominants, such as this one, invoke dampened woodand are often softened with fruity-floral accords. For Romantic Hearts The oud vanguard becomes softer after only a few minutes and I would now say I smell rather a little incense with typical Juliette Rose patchouli. But I would like to keep the Midnight Oud as well, it has more power, more intense rose, is not as bitchy as the Heeley and it holds and holds and holds and pleases.

Review of Midnight Oud

Romano Ricci, the grandson of Nina Ricci, created the niche House Juliette Has a Gun in 2006. The first two scents were Miss Charming and Lady Vengeance. These were rose centered fragrances; Miss Charming was a light and more feminine rose and Lady Vengeance was a darker, more unisex rose. Of the two I regularly wear Lady Vengeance when I’m in the mood for a darker rose fragrance. The most recent release is Midnight Oud which M. Ricci stated in the press materials that he wanted to be a “European version of Oud”. In Midnight Oud, the oud smells leathery. Like brand-new leather, along with saffron and crisp, bright rose. Even with the rose, Midnight Oud isn't particularly “floral”. It's the kind of rose that's more fruit and wine than actual flower. A fruit and wine rose in a box, because there's an appealing sweet cardboard dryness to this perfume. Miss Charming and Lady Vengeance where the first to be released in 2006. These were the light and the dark, the good and bad of his beloved Juliette. Midnight Oud is an oriental fragrance of rose, oud, amber, musk, saffron, geranium and patchouli. Contained within a silver metal cylinder it’s an oriental fragrance blended with Middle Eastern agar wood or Oud which is highly prized and precious and used mainly in Arabic attars or perfume oils. Finally a different twist of his beloved Shakespeare, Romano created Calamity J. This unique scent is the masculine fragrance in the women’s range, a woody melange of musk, iris, patchouli and amber. Housed in a midnight cylinder with flourished writing, this scent is powerful and seductive, masculine yet feminine, perfect for reflecting the strength of women in society.

In heart and base it resembles enormously Hippie Rose by Heeley, my favourite patchouli rose leather scent. Midnight Oud is only warmer, sweeter and minimally smoky. But it's the kind of patchouli and that spicy warmth that sets it apart from the rather lighter and fresher Heeley that is found in the beguiling base of Fashion Decree by Atkinsons. I attribute this beguiling spiciness to guaiac wood, which I often like very much. All in all, Midnight Oud Fashion Decree is less similar to Hippie Rose, also because the guaiac wood is less in the foreground than Rose, Leather and Patchouli. If what he means by that phrase is he wanted to make a less aggressive oud which would be more wearable by people who are not enamored of strong notes, I think he succeeded. The top of Midnight Oud begins with a pairing of bergamot and saffron. This is as strong a saffron note as I’ve come across recently and it is an excellent choice to start off an oud based fragrance. The saffron imparts a slightly dried grass and leather aspect to the beginning which adds a little bit of exoticism to the beginning. The heart begins with the appearance of the oud. The oud is very restrained here, of all of the oud scents out there it is most closely akin to the level of oud in M7. Midnight Oud does not know what it wants to be. The initial blast is so overwhelmingly masculine, that I freaked out and rinsed my arm with water. That toned it down a bit, but what was that?! Is that oud??? I've never smelled it before. I don't get the urine bit like other reviewers, but the oud to me smells like something I know but can't really put my finger on...exhaust fumes?...scorched plastic?...burnt popcorn?...it's weird. I'm not a fan. Get in touch with your masculine side with the fifth scent of the Juliette Has A Gun collection. With Calamity J., you can get away from fruity or floral aromas for a fresh, musky woody-amber composition that has all the ruggedness of dandy perfumes but without going overboard and becoming vulgar. With its top note of cinnamon, middle notes of iris and iso e super, base notes of amber, patchouli, musk, tonka bean, vanilla absolute, labdanum, castoreum, civet, and cetalox. Juliette Has A Gun Citizen Queen is a mysterious and addictive aldehyde chypre at the modern and classic perfumery crossroads.

Midnight Oud by Juliette Has A Gun opens up with a distinct, slightly smoky scent of birch tar, softened by the delicate, sweet aroma of rose. As this initial impression fades, the heart of the fragrance emerges, marked by the warm, earthy notes of oud, cedar, and patchouli, tinged with subtle hints of labdanum and papyrus. Here, the Bulgarian rose emerges stronger, contributing a floral sweetness that beautifully counterbalances the woodiness of the central notes. Yeah, maybe not for you. But I have an oud-sceptic nose that is adapted to it zero point zero: Oud. It's not too bad. It is not an oud with a bum factor and also not an oud that seems unbearably artificially sharp and harmful to health, but so to speak exactly the kind of not quite oudic oud for oud-sceptics
