Starting out as farm buildings, crofts and, in our case, a smiddy — or blacksmith’s forge — Scotland’s bothies have long had a deep connection with the land. They infuse their Gins with local seasonal fruits in small batches, working through the process by hand at each step.

The visitor attraction offers a history of both the Gin Bothy brand from its humble roots making jam to its current product range of gins and spirits. And went the extra mile in adding a note so the recipient knew that their bottle of stirrup cup came from me.UNIQUE FLAVOURS: Our botanicals were smoked in a traditional smokehouse on the east coast of Scotland, to create this citrus smoked gin. Using that knowledge in new ways creates a connection with other parts of Scottish culture, keeping it alive and in our communities. Inspired by her travels, she watched how the almonds were ground into a paste, then used as a base for Amaretto coffees and cakes. I did not like the fact that dpd tried to deliver my parcel once and then directed me to a pick up point, not a walkable distance. Our best selling full-strength sipping gin is named Gunshot as it is the same colour as bullets and leaves you a warm inner glow. Gunshot was the only Scottish gin to earn three-star status in 2016/2017 in the Great Taste awards, which celebrate the very best in food and drink. A visit last summer to the Gin Bothy made us fall in love with the fab gin and even more fab staff, lovely in every way!
