I was recently sent this fragrance to test out for Beauty Bulletin and it's been an interesting addition to my fragrance collection. Katy Perry's Royal Revolution is her third fragrance (although I'm no familiar with the first 2) It is a heady floral fragrance in a bottle inspired by the beauty of a blue diamond. the smell is not really long lasting - it fades within about 5 hours and that's why I rated it a 3.
Somehow, the fragrance ended up on my hands and even after washing it, I could still smell it as strong as though I just applied it. Diamonds are expensive and anything relating to diamonds is regarded of High value and is associated with royalty. This goes without say The Killer Queen’s Royal Revolution is not just any fragrance but it is “THE” Fragrance of the moment and has taken the world by storm. This is a fragrance for that elegant lady who knows her worth, with a strong personality and style who is ready to take the world.I had the priviledge or rather the honour to smell this incredible new fragrance by our beloved Katy at Dischem Clearwater Mall. They gave some mini samples and have a huge tester bottle on display in the store. You are welcome to spray directly on to yourself or on a little smell paper to get the incredible scent first in your nose. USAGE ADVICE Spraying fragrance on the hair can also emit a good amount of perfume. However, fragrance should be sprayed on freshly-cleaned hair as unwashed hair contains oil and dirt that could distort the scent. Freesia and pomegranate make up the top notes of this perfume. Next middle notes of orange blossom, sandalwood and jasmine burst on to the scene. At last a billow of vanilla, orchids and plum soars in to complete the olfactory experience. The box on its own will make you wanna stop and look at the perfume, it's elegantly designed with shiny silver prints. And so are the lyrics to the famous Queen song: Killer Queen. Those lyrics explain this fragrance for me so well. I'm pretty sure Katy Perry used these lyrics as a reference when deciding on this perfume. But before I break out further into song....let me start my journey to royal revolution from the beginning.... I was summoned by the royal court to be a warrior in this exciting revolution.. I accepted this duty with pride and excitement!
Fruity florals fit for a queen - I loved how this fragrance makes use of striking pomegranate , pink freesia and orange flower nots which is bound to grant all eyes on you when you enter a room. The bottle appears like a sapphire with different gorgeous shades of blue symbolising strength and power. Topped with a beautiful royal crest cap which dazzles at first glance with a metallic appearance which spells out the fearless courage of The Killer Queen. I had high expectations for this perfume, and it didn't disappoint! It's Katy Perry in a beautiful, shiny, blue bottle. It's sexy, flirty, bold and fun. It makes me feel like I'm walking on marshmallow sunshine, wearing cupcake lingerie. (okay, that sounds a bit odd) But it's a good feeling ;) The ROYAL REVOLUTION™ is truly Katy Perry’s best scent so far, like the whole range of her KILLER QUEEN’s™ scents, this one has an aroma of beauty. It is a sweet scent with a touch of royalty. This scent is an addiction to my personality, it makes me feel like a killer queen with the scent of victory. The bottle is ombre blue, from a dark turquoise top to an almost clear bottom tip. The cap is gun metal with her initials on one side, and two cats with a cross in the center on the other side. Engraved around the base of the cap is "Katy Perry Killer Queen". The bottle alone looks so classy and expensive.A scent of victory characterised by beauty and boldness with a royal but rebellious touch. The Killer Queen Kate Perry is not messing around with her Royalty. She has expressed her true royalty through this amazing and beautiful fragrance the Royal Revolution. My favourite scent is a fruity floral scent and that's exactly what this Katy Perry Royal Revolution is - a fruity blend with a dash of floral. She's like a big, beautiful, delightful ball of candy floss and energy! I love her crazy outfits, her hair, her music... I have a total woman crush on her. Fragrance lasts longer on damp skin and blooms when worn on moisturized skin. Apply your fragrance right out of the shower while your skin is clean and warm. Your pores are open and can soak up the fragrance. As your skin warms up during the day, the scent of perfume gets released slowly.
