These are presented in a form of case studies and Newton asserts that they uncover the hidden aspects of the spirit world. Before reading "Destiny of Souls" I recommend starting with his first book, "Journey of Souls". Also I found it helpful to have already read "Many Lives, Many Masters" by Brian Weiss. This introduced me to past-life regression through hypnosis. Apparently, under hypnosis clients can remember their past lives and are able to recognize the important souls who agree to incarnate together lifetime after lifetime. It is possible the people you feel unusually strong connections with may have played central roles in your previous lives. Readers couldn’t get enough, their appetites about life between lives whetted but not quenched by perhaps the first documented use of hypnotherapy to explore life behind the veil. Dr. Newton, who has developed techniques to take clients so deeply with hynosis that life between lives can be recalled, responded to calls by readers for more information by releasing a follow-up book from his numerous sessions with souls of varying maturity. I have a dreaming question for you. In Destiny of Souls, you talk about how some souls who have left their bodies are able to meld and actually place themselves into the dreams of loved ones who may be grieving their loss. I’m curious if you think people who are adept at lucid dreaming now might be ones who are able to do advanced dreamwork in their life between lives? They do, however, differ radically in their views of the destiny of the soul beyond the eternal cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. Within Hinduism, we can distinguish four different schools of thought on this.

The book goes into more detail about the spiritual plane than any other book I have read on the subject, including those by Dolores Cannon. Life changing. The book that catapulted me towards my spiritual journey and then onto writing my own books. Thank you Dr Newton! Big Love! Christianity adopted the Greek philosopher Plato’s view that we consist of a mortal body and an immortal soul. Death is thus the separation of the soul from the body. Conscious memory, which draws what it needs from the subconscious mind. We see this in our myths and our folklore, and we see this in terms of flashes that we get in our day-to-day lives. It’s there and we don’t know why we know it. We cannot prove it scientifically, but we just have very strong feelings. This kind of memory is manifested by our conscious egos, and it is very adaptive to the physical world we live in. There are some people who may look at your first book and second book and say, “Why should we have this information? Do we really need to know it?”Any Internet references contained in this work are current at publication time, but the publisher cannot

They sense it more than they see it. It’s a more powerful energy source. It’s a feeling. They have a feeling that it’s a collective, that it’s a group and not a single individual. So perhaps it would be more fair to see it as a step or two above their council members, and who knows how much further up the ladder we need to go until we get to the Ultimate Source. Of course, I can’t answer that question. This is as far as I can get, because I’m working with people who are still incarnated — and they only know so much. In Destiny of Souls, sixty-seven people just like you recall their life between lives through Dr. Michael Newton's personal work in spiritual hypnotherapy. Based on his groundbreaking research into the afterlife, this book is designed both for those new to afterlife case studies and for fans of Dr. Newton's bestselling first volume, Journey of Souls. Explore the meaning behind your own spiritual memories as you hear the stories of people in deep hypnosis and learn fascinating details about: —Our purpose on Earth —Spiritual settings where souls go after death —The soul-brain connection —Soul mates —Soul travel between lives —Spirit guides —Ways spirits connect with and comfort the living —Why we choose certain bodies So this guy regresses people, not to their past lives, but to the time *in-between* their last life and this life. To see what that's all about. And he's collected all these cases to piece together this map of how all this life stuff works. When I’m asked, “Well, then, apparently you don’t believe in hell,” that’s the truth. I don’t. There is no such thing in my mind. If there’s a hell, it’s Earth. When people cross over into the spirit world, regardless of the type of life they led, they are taken into a heavenly place. What happens to them there, depending upon what they have done on Earth, varies with each soul. The Michael Newton Institute for Life Between Lives Hypnotherapy". I feel that in the last 25 years, all of us, in whatever capacity, are bringing spirituality to the population at large because of two factors: Philip C. Answer after answer to your troubling questions will help you experience a lasting peace of heart. Death will no longer be a terrifying end. It will be a transition to even greater peace and love. A must read if you believe in reincarnation, and even if you don't... you will find this facinating. I could not put this one down! Destiny of the souls is the 2nd one. Very deep but oh-so-interesting. Newton: Choices are extremely important because we are not set in such a mold that we do not have personal volition to make changes. I think this is what’s important about our understanding of karma.

To me the descriptions ARE heavenly and so interesting! Retaining our 'self' how awesome is that? We have fun, friends, study. Ultimately 100% pure love, well isn't that what heaven is all about? I would invite any naysayers to read the books before making uneducated judgements. Some of it is hard to believe, yet at the same time makes so much sense. Destiny of Souls is a book by Dr. Michael Newton (9 December 1931 – 22 September 2016), published in 2000. Newton was a hypnotherapist who developed his own age regression technique. [ citation needed] The Michael Newton Institute for Life Between Lives Hypnotherapy is a ‘non-profit’ organization formed in 2002. The Institute was set up to train qualified hypnotherapists to continue Dr Newton's work on past lives and spiritual realms. [1] Summary [ edit ] Michael Newton has written another well-organized book, sharing his discoveries (and theories) about past-life regression. Hence the four stars. There are many levels of soul development, and one thing I realized from the book was that I am not myself as spiritually advanced as I had thought, and perhaps not spiritually advanced at all (ha, ha!) - everything is relative. I don’t want to give the impression that the average client has had this experience. Average clients have only incarnated on earth. Once in a while, though, I’ll get a client who has had just what we’re talking about. They have been on a world that is no longer habitable, which is another reason why they are finishing up on Earth. They are what I refer to as the hybrid soul.

Another fascinating book from Michael Newton about case studies of patients under deep hypnosis discussing the nature of life. Similar to "Journey of Souls" but organized in a different way and more in depth in certain ways. " — Matthew, 8/13/2012 Newton: When I am at lectures, my audience will often say, “Well, when do we get to talk about God? So, when do your clients see God?” What they see potentially is “a great presence”— that is how they describe it when they are between lives, but they see that presence primarily when they are in front of their Council, the wise beings who are a step or two above their guides, who are assessing the life they have lived and where they think they would be best suited in the life to come. The result, Destiny of Souls (Llewellyn, 2000), offers a detailed look at many aspects of soul life only hinted at in his first book on the subject. It explores how individual souls look in their infancy, how souls are healed after traumatic brushes with violence and evil on the earth plane, and much more on the group dynamics of souls in the realm of life between lives.
