About this deal

Abulof, Uriel. "Episode 1: The Jumping Off Place [MOOC lecture]". Uriel Abulof, Human Odyssey to Political Existentialism (HOPE). edX/Princeton . Retrieved 12 January 2021. Hilarious. I loved how it feels like how the government and people would react in real life to magic and possession, excuse me "dual conscience". Now, what is great about this book? The mystery. Excellent crafting of intrigue and solveable before the end without being too easy. The expanding world lore is also exceptionally well crafted, giving off excellent Lovecraftian vibes while not sabotaging the humor.

L'Existentialisme est un Humanisme (Editions Nagel, 1946); English Jean-Paul Sartre, Existentialism and Humanism (Eyre Methuen, 1948). Sartre argued that a central proposition of existentialism is that existence precedes essence, which is to say that individuals shape themselves by existing and cannot be perceived through preconceived and a priori categories, an "essence". The actual life of the individual is what constitutes what could be called their "true essence" instead of an arbitrarily attributed essence others use to define them. Human beings, through their own consciousness, create their own values and determine a meaning to their life. [23] This view is in contradiction to Aristotle and Aquinas, who taught that essence precedes individual existence. [24] Although it was Sartre who explicitly coined the phrase, similar notions can be found in the thought of existentialist philosophers such as Heidegger, and Kierkegaard: Kaufmann, Walter Arnold, From Shakespeare To Existentialism (Princeton University Press 1979), p. xvi. Google Books. The follow up to Differently Morphous . Magic is no longer a tightly guarded governmental secret and possessed individuals are to be referred to as "dual consciousness" with the proper pronoun for that specific individual. There's a lot of this type of thing in this book. Nobody knows the name of a character who not only shows his face on internet streams he also invites those who watch his stream to his house. This is because.... the story needs it like that. Don't think about it, here's a joke about a vicar not knowing what doxing is. No one investigates people related to major crimes because..... the story needs it. No one comments on the blatant incompetence of the investigation because.... best not to think about it (seriously it's not remarked on once).
