About this deal

Produced by Burberry, The Beat is a remarkable fragrance that is guaranteed to win your heart. It first debuted in 2008. Olivier Polge is the master-perfumer behind this iconic classic. This enduring parfum lasts throughout the day with just a few dabs since the proportion of essences is quite high. Most eau de parfums have between 15-20%. Floral-woody-musky combinations, such as this one, are reminiscent of the woodland pairing wild forest flowers with more earthy tones for a very natural-smelling result. The Elegance of Precious Wood

On top of that, I was dying to find out what a tea perfume like this might smell like. All this made me totally curious, since I already have a Burberry in my collection that I like a lot. Oh yes, and tea I also like very much:) Although ladies can never go wrong with literally any Burberry perfume, some aspects of varied fragrances depend on your personality and style. The more you feel comfortable and elegant in your new perfume, the greater the confidence and positivity boost you’ll get. Founded by Thomas Burberry in 1856, Burberry is a beloved brand not only for the outstanding fragrances they create but for its history and authenticity in production. Our personal favorite Burberry fragrance for women, It’s only second for us to pay tribute to the classics. This fragrance gets its popularity from its eclectic and sensual aromas that are very hard to miss. The Beat is remarkably versatile, part of Burberry’s revamp of their brand to reach a younger, hipper demographic while still appealing to their more classic and refined crowd. This push towards modernity is perfectly expressed by The Beat, which is marketed towards a modern, yet sophisticated woman of any age. Invigorating and energetic, The Beat is for any woman who wants to show off her zeal for music and zest for life. When to Wear It There's something I have to beton! I don't think the scent is bad! It's just not my fragrance... Nevertheless I like to wear after the shower if I do not know exactly what I should wear, it is actually enough. This fragrance is also very suitable for VERY warm days on the sun, simply nothing overwhelming or strong to wear is the beat actually perfect because it is very refreshing and no one disturbs. Burberry fragrances are known for their elegance and versatility. Perfect for casual, everyday use, or formal occasions. Our selections range from timeless fruity classics to more daring spicy accords, ensuring there’s a scent to cater to every palate.

In the further course of time tea and flowers become weaker and the scent becomes more pleasant for me.This complex and layered scent starts with notes of pink pepper, mandarin orange, bergamot, and cardamom at the forefront, with added hints of tea, iris, and bellflower.

Instead, they've gone for likeable, and they've hit that right on the nail. The Eau de Parfum is youthful without loading on the strawberry candy (it doesn't smell like it's aimed at 'tweens), and while I wouldn't call it massively interesting, it's nicely done and a good fit with the Burberry aesthetic. I don't love it, but it didn't kill me to try it and I wouldn't mind smelling it all over town, in fact, I'd much rather smell The Beat all over town than any number of things. I found the Elixir Parfum considerably more tempting, in fact, it might be the first Burberry fragrance I've ever wanted to own. If you've been looking for a mainstream iris and found Prada's Infusion d'Iris too sheer and Bvlgari's Omnia Amethyste too pretty-charming, you might want to try The Beat Elixir. On the one hand it has a powdery underlay, that might be the iris, which I have already smelled very nice. As a single note I can't smell it in this fragrance. Admittedly I would have gotten this perfume not given I would give the 0 attention ... Something I must simply betonnen I am not a big fan of the Burberry fragrances. So far only one thing has really appealed to me, and that was Burberry Her:))) It just smells soo nice like sugar, berries and lots of jelly babies:D Beautiful.......*-* But the beat is a bit boring for me personally... I got the fragrance as a present from my aunt she said, a fresh variety of the whole Gourmand fragrances would do me good....If she only knew how much I avoid fresh / flowery / clean fragrances or better said hardly wear ... They just fit 0 to me + they hardly last on my skin at least half an hour and then I smell nothing more:(( Well the only fresh fragrance I still like to use and that even only for the summer is the Lacoste Pour femme:D Also that, I am slowly just too bored ... I'm just not made for all the fresh+clean scents!:D There is also an "Elixir Parfum" version. It's a richer scent, with a heavier concentration of iris (you can smell the iris as soon as you spray it on) and a deeper, smokier tea note. The bluebell is there but less prominent, and the base, while still largely pale and cool, is warmer and earthier. It isn't carnal or wild either, but nor is it young and cheerful and clean. The Beat is described as a sparkling floral woody fragrance; the notes feature bergamot, mandarin, Ceylon tea, cardamom, pink pepper, bluebell, iris, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. It starts very bright, with tart fruit and juicy citrus. There is lots of pink pepper (can anybody remember what perfumes smelled like before pink pepper became obligatory?) and a teensy little pinch of cardamom. The heart is sheer bluebell-ish florals, still very bright; the base is cool and pale and summery, and smoothed over with a smidgen of iris. The ad copy calls The Beat "carnal, slightly wild", but that is the usual nonsense — there is nothing even vaguely carnal about it. It smells young and cheerful and clean, and is a pretty good match with the mood of the print ad.I spent some time listening to the music that Burberry reportedly gave to perfumers Dominique Ropion, Olivier Polge and Beatrice Piquet to get them in the right mindset for The Beat (Kasabian, Dirty Pretty Things, Razorlight, the Arctic Monkeys and The Fratellis). It is par for the course, I suppose, that the music is far edgier than the juice they came up with? Presumably they're hoping to reach a wider audience than you'd get with a fragrance that evoked Dirty Pretty Things' Gin and Milk, and I shouldn't think anybody was going to go looking for edgy from Burberry anyway. And secondly I perceive the musk from the base here early, clearly and long lasting, with which I probably have more frequent problems. It is not very sweet, not softener-like either, but gives me the impression that someone has poured something into my tea. Something foreign to the species, which does not belong there. So not milk, but powdery, wadded and strange. Bergamot, camphoraceous cardamom, mandarin and pink pepper make up the head notes of this perfume. These are followed by heart notes of iris, hyacinth and tea. The fragrance ends with a base of cedar, vetiver and musk. (Vetiver, sometimes called khus, is a grass similar to lemongrass and native to India.) The dominant notes here are sure to please those with a floral signature. High Price but Convenient Size I was delighted when we as a team decided to delve a bit deeper into the world of Burberry perfumes. With a plethora of fragrances tailored for both men and women, we set our sights on the top 20 women’s perfumes from Burberry.
