In fact, even his later ghost pepper sauce had to include extract just to maintain the same heat level. But for those of us who revel in the thrill of spicy sensations, this hot sauce is a must-have in our culinary arsenal. It never has your mouth in agony, and doesn’t really bite, but wow it gives you such a Nivana like state for a good ten minutes after your food is finished. Only complaint is that the weights themselves are not quite the weight they're labelled as, but they're close enough for my purposes.

This insanely spicy and delicious cooking ingredient should be used diluted (with oil) or in soups, sauces, or dressings. If you use this sauce properly (and I mean, not like idiots downing bottles to impress people on YouTube) you can have it last for ages!The main two ingredients are chillies and tomato purée and Dave has even added xanthan gum to thicken it, though I suspect that was more to keep it from separating completely. Dumping a pile of Dave's Insanity on something kind of reminds me of the time my mother mailed me a container of home-made chili pepper paste, along with some home-made tamales. As one of my friends remarked, after trying a drop on the end of a cocktail stick, "How the hell have you eaten half a bottle of that s***! It's not just about the burn; there's a depth to the sauce that sets it apart from other hot sauces I've tried. years ago I bought this and almost died (not literally, but you could actually die from too much hotness) that’s when I learned you have to use it with caution.
