The Singles: Echoes From The Edge Of Heaven is a new Wham! release which marks the pop band’s 40th anniversary. It collects all ten singles that Wham! released in the UK (‘Careless Whisper’, as a George Michael single is not included) and will be available across five physical formats, some of which offer B-sides and remixes. The audio has all been newly remastered from the original tapes. On June 28, 1986, they performed together as WHAM! for the last time, at Wembley Stadium, having done exactly that. A third number one in a row from Make It Big, Freedom was Wham! at the peak of their powers. There was a “Long Mix” 12″ version but the on The Final it is the standard mix albeit with a unique ‘outro’ when a trumpet comes in. Released in the UK on 2LP/CD/2MC & (Box Set) Reached #2 in the UK Chart. The album was not initially released in North America, where Wham!'s third and final studio album Music from the Edge of Heaven was released instead. Four songs from that album appear on this compilation. It was a time that both encapsulated and epitomised not just their youth, but also those of the many millions of fans that adored them.
