About this deal

Really, I’m not even sure why [there’s] a snooze button on this thing. If you have heart issues, do not get this. If you suffer from anxiety, do not get this,” they continue. “This alarm is no joke. But it’s effective. I often find myself waking up before the alarm even goes off due to what I believe is almost fear.” Now that we know how to set everything up and have taken a look at its features, let’s dive deeper into how everything works! Light Sleepers– As a light sleeper, I can tell you this is not something I’d use. Between the super loud alarm, vibrating bed shaker, and flashing red lights, the Sonic Bomb is definitely not ideal for those who wake easily. Essentially, the Sonic Bomb is designed to alert you in a variety of ways that don’t only rely upon sound. Yes, the beeping is incredibly loud, but some may find that the bed shaker and flashing lights are all that’s needed to wake up in the morning.

Rest assured that the vibration doesn’t actually lift your bed off the ground in any way, but I have to say that when I first tested it, I was pretty surprised by how powerful it is! If you’re not sure whether or not a loud alarm is enough to wake you, I suggest you use the bed shaker with the beeping. AND>>>>>>> if that is not enough you can also turn the buzzer volume to screech the most annoying sound for those of you that can still hear. Now decide how you’d like the alarm to wake you up! You have three options: “BUZZ,” which is for sound only, “VIB” which will trigger only the vibrating bed shaker, or a combination of both which is set by the “VIB/BUZZ” button. Regardless of which you choose, keep in mind that flashing LCD lights will activate when your alarm goes off. When the alarm goes off in the morning I feel the vibrations through my pillow..... and since I have the vibrator high on my pillow it also shakes the bedframe.

So here’s how it works: Place the disc-shaped bed shaker beneath your pillow, your fitted sheet, or your mattress itself. When your alarm goes off, the bed shaker will vibrate intensely until you snooze or disable the alarm. And believe me when I tell you that, no matter where you put it, this device literally shakes the bed. Testing the bed shaker beneath my pillow! The lamp goes off and on, off and on, off and on. And is really annoying so I jump to turn it off, which usually get me out of bed. But when I want to sleep an extra 9 minutes I can also opt to hit the snooze button. But then you have to go throught the whole thing again. Set an alarm by holding down the “al.set” button, and use the fast/slow buttons to set the alarm time.On the other hand, the alarm setting process may be a little annoying for those who often wake up at different times, because you can’t set certain alarms to trigger on a given day to suit complex sleep schedules. The product also isn’t water resistant in any way, which leaves the door wide open to water damage if you’re not careful. For the basic task of going to sleep and waking up, though, this is approved by deep sleepers and could prove effective for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Setting alarms on the Sonic Bomb alarm is tedious as you have to rely on a "fast" and "slow" button to progress time. It only has one alarm soundThat said, while waking to natural light can be great for mental health, it may not be effective for everyone based on their individual hearing levels. Those who are profoundly deaf may want to consider the previous two options, while those who are closer to hard of hearing could maybe make use of something like this. Personally, I appreciate that you can customize the volume and tone of this alarm because it really lets you tailor the sounds to meet your individual needs. Oh, and did I mention that the alarm will go on for an hour if you don’t shut it off? So if it doesn’t wake you up right away, it’ll just keep going until it does. The Bed Shaker That said, it’s important to note that the intensity/sound of the bed shaker changes depending on where you put it. For example, putting it directly beneath my pillow created a less intense vibration, but made the buzzing a lot louder in my ear. That said, sleepers do have to option to adjust both the volume and the tone of the alarm’s beeping. If you can snooze through just about anything, I suggest turning the volume all the way up. Similarly, take some time to adjust the tone until you find the frequency that gets you up and running (for me, it was the highest pitch tone).
