About this deal

Desperate to make her retreat work, she is not who she purports to be, but one of her guests knows who she is. And she's not going to let it go. The thriller side of the story is definitely quite domestic and not as gritty as I was hoping. But there's a lot going on, which does make it difficult to predict easily.

The Sanctuary by Andrew Hunter Murray | Waterstones

I guessed most of the twists, and I liked how each woman struggle with the fears surrounding their pregnancies, and how much their lives will change. Introduction to Daniel The whole book of Daniel focuses upon God’s judgement. Daniel’s name means, “God is my Judge”. The stories in the first part of the book of Daniel reveal the issues in judgment. These we cannot now develop fully, but we hope to do so in a book soon. As the power of the symbol comes to light, revealing centuries of destruction left in its wake, a woman desperate for answers holds the fate of the world in her hands. One night, she goes out with her friends, and wakes up in The Sanctuary, a luxury rehab facility in Mexico, with no memory of how she got there. She's told she agreed to go after being arrested for assault, something she cannot recall. What makes it even weirder, is that a mysterious 'benefactor' has paid the exorbitant fee for her to be there. An intriguing mystery with a tense setting, The Sanctuary has a brilliant opening scene that instantly fills you with a claustrophobic dread.Nothing makes sense to Zoey. She doesn't believe that she needs rehab, she admits that her life is a bit dead-end, constant moving about and low-paid, unskilled jobs, a lot of alcohol, the odd bit of hash, but nothing she cannot handle ... she believes. Also in the stories of Daniel we see the investigative judgment and the executive judgment portrayed in Belshazzer’s feast. The message comes in blazing letters upon the wall. “You are weighed in the balance and found wanting.” Belshazzer’s life, as well as the kingdom of Babylon had been investigated by God, they were found wanting. And then the executive judgment took place, and Babylon the great, fell. Really very good! The premise seemed a little too familiar at first but I’m always happy to be proved wrong and pleasantly surprised. A group of people are holed up in a remote location, in this case a rehab centre in a deliberately inaccessible desert location. Our main character doesn’t remember how she got there or why and can’t work out why anyone would sponsor her the huge fees to be there either.

The Sanctuary Book Review | What We Reading

As mentioned the story takes place in a yoga retreat for pregnant women. It should allow them to take some time off and focus on their futur role as mothers. This would be fine if not all of them had secrets to hide. Even the people who run the retreat have some deep buried secrets. One by one they come to light. And, as we see in Daniel 7, the false PRINCE, depicted as beasts and horn, will be judged, and all who follow him in counterfeiting the work and laws of God will be destroyed with him. They substituted Christ’s once and for all sacrifice, with a daily sacrifice in which the priest claims to have the power to create the Creator and of Christ anew in a bloodless sacrifice. Quote from the book : Mia knew it was. It was a specialization sha had flirted with, but she’d ultimatly veerded off into another direction, knowing anti-aging research was the embarrassing relative no one wanted to talk about. Biogerontology - the sciencefiction of aging - had been having a tough time sence, well, the Jurassic era. 🦋🦋🦋🦋
