About this deal

But ARC Troopers can contribute more to your army than just their skill with specialized weaponry. Each ARC Trooper is an example to the troops around them and this expansion includes two exceptional ARC Troopers who can either fight alongside their fellow ARC Troopers or bolster one of the Republic’s corps units. Beyond boosting the combat effectiveness of his unit, Countering the Separatist threat to peace and democracy are the Republic’s clone troopers. Trained as soldiers from their conception and deeply loyal to the cause of the Republic, Phase I Clone Troopers join their Jedi generals in the effort to preserve peace in the galaxy. As skilled as they are in battle, though, Clone Troopers alone can’t hope to stand against the crushing weight of the Separatist’s battle droids. Thankfully, a BARC speeder can help them adapt to the environment on many planets and provide a welcome source of speed. War has engulfed the galaxy. The vast forces of the Separatist Alliance, bolstered by seemingly endless ranks of battle droids, have pushed the Galactic Republic to the brink of dissolution and defeat. The Republic’s only hope is its army of elite clone troopers, led into battle by noble, Force-wielding Jedi Knights. The war between them is an epic struggle where every battle could turn the tide and change the fate of the galaxy. This core set introduces the Separatist Alliance and Galactic Republic factions to STAR WARS: LEGION. It contains everything that two players need to stage a battle between the Separatist droid forces and the clone soldiers of the Republic. This core set can be used as a starting point for collecting STAR WARS: LEGION miniatures and for building and customizing your own Separatist or Republic army! [4] This game-related article is a stub. You can help Wookieepedia by expanding it.

In the standard game mode, the game involves 2 players, alternatingly using squads of troops, characters, or vehicles to maneuver and battle on a 6 foot by 3 foot table. Each unit has an assigned point value, and within a general framework, players have the flexibility to field very different armies even at the 800 point standard level. Armies generally consist of 20-50 models, but can be higher or lower depending on unit choices. The models come unassembled and unpainted, which allows players to show off their hobby skills and build their own truly customized force. Once you have assembled your forces you them need to assemble your force adding in troopers, vehicles, and of course, characters from the epic film series. Just as they should, characters like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader can change the course of the battle, if used to their strengths!Fueled by his hatred, Darth Maul wields his iconic double-bladed lightsaber with uncommon ferocity, using the unpredictable Juyo form of lightsaber combat to channel his own inner rage and torment into raw combat ability. His DRK-1 Sith Probe Droids make him even more dangerous by covertly observing his foes while Maul uses all of his skill as a duelist to remain elusive and deny his enemies any advantage they may have. Although the Jedi may be the highest-ranking members of the Grand Army of the Republic, it is the clones that most often carry out battle plans and complete the Republic’s objectives. With the ranks of Jedi perilously thin, Clone Commanders often have to step up and lead from the trenches. From legendary heroes to cold and calculating droids, these expansions bring new ways to build your Star Wars: Legion armies and prove your worth commanding them. Sieze the opportunity and become a legend of the Clone Wars!

Commander Cody feels like a perfect representation of what he is like in the animated show, a commander that knows how to deal significant damage and to direct his forces to military success. The combination of his unit card and all of it functions with the command cards he has creates a commander for the game of legion that is both cheaper to bring and more formidable, making him able to hit that sweet spot of being a feasible option for small battles. Widely regarded as the best soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic, these elite clones have turned the tide of many vital battles in the Clone Wars. Soon, you’ll be able to call about these unshakeable troops with the ARC Troopers Unit Expansionfor Star Wars™: Legion! Movement in Star Wars: Legion is fast and organic as you send your troopers marching forward. Every unit has a speed which determines the jointed movement tool that you’ll use to move that unit. You simply align the movement tool with the base of the unit leader and move it to the end of the movement tool. One unit of two Droidekas is ready to speed into battle in wheel mode. Once there, the wheel mode miniatures can be replaced by two Droideka miniatures ready to lay down heavy fire on targets the B1 Battle Droids cannot take care of. [3] Jon-kil’s Rebel Alliance force uses a consistent but broad palette to bring together this rag tag group from a war torn ice planet. He used a lot of very drab colours and muted tones to get the feel of Rogue One, incorporating a lot of camo themed colours to make it feel more wartime. By keeping the theme loose and dirty, you have some room for error.

As skilled as he is, Kenobi may have met his match in General Grievous. Proudly wielding the trophy lightsabers he has collected from the Jedi he has defeated in battle, Grievous is a particularly dangerous opponent, his agility making him equally adept at avoiding damage as he is at doling it out. Within this Core Set, you’ll find one beautifully detailed General Grievous miniature that can be assembled in three different ways: with two of his trophy lightsabers and a cloak; carrying a single lightsaber and a DT-57 “Annihilator” blaster pistol while shrouded in his cloak; or with all four trophy lightsabers at the ready. Legion in terms of the cost in time, effort and price is very different from what you previously know and love. The figures do require assembly, only gluing and positioning, but that does require some skill and patience—they're not pre-assembled, pre-painted, ready to go. It's very much a wargame in the hobby sense, and if this is your first wargame, you're going to have to spend some time putting the figures together and painting them if you want them to look great…”

The Republic Specialists Personnel Expansion puts four clone troopers with special training at your disposal, allowing you to field a generic commander unit and add personnel upgrades to other units in your army, including a clone commander unit leader, clone medic, clone engineer, and a clone comms technician. No matter which of these troops you choose, you can always make use of the Republic’s signature strategies with the three new command cards exclusive to the Galactic Republic faction found here. Even though the Stormtrooper Corps was the only major Imperial Military branch to utilize legions, various Imperial Military units that included both the Imperial Army and the Imperial Navy could sometimes be compared to legions if the manpower and force strength was sufficient, especially if the unit in question was a joint task force for all three major branches of the Imperial Military utilized for a vital objective. This was especially evident during the Battle of Endor, where the Galactic Emperor Palpatine, when revealing to captive Rebel commander Luke Skywalker that the Rebel Alliance's Endor strike team was headed into a trap, referred to the unit guarding the Endor shield generator bunker, Tempest Force, as "an entire legion of [Palpatine's] best troops." [1] Other legions [ ]Two sqauds of Phase I Clone Troops enter the fight to preserve the Republic. Five carry the DC-15A blaster rifle while two heavy weapons specialists add extra firepower with a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon and a DC-15 blaster rifle modified to fire from long range. In the chaos of combat, ARC Troopers can be counted on to take the lead and set the tone for their fellow troops. Scouting ahead as soon as they hit the ground, they are considerablly more mobilite than other troops, allowing them to take up advanced positions and get the drop on enemy forces. This mobility is only enhanced by the wide variety of equipment they can carry into the field, including Painting white can often be pretty intimidating but there’s a lot of great tools out there to help ease the process. While I start mine with a light grey prime and then a white ink zenithal, you could just as easily rattle can prime grey and use a directional white drybrush to get a similar effect. Nuln oil – slightly thinned down then covering the whole model to create a worn detail to the armour
