About this deal

One more thing: the water used in cosmetics is purified and deionized (it means that almost all of the mineral ions inside it is removed). It does so by neutralizing the metal ions in the formula (that usually get into there from water) that would otherwise cause some not so nice changes.

You just assumed it wouldn't be, even though it is true that it does not contain sodium lauryl sulfate. I never wanted to say that because the pricing is perfect and the smell is amazing, but as someone who has knotted, unmanageable hair to begin with, it made it worse. After four weeks of trying out this line, I did feel as if my color was a bit richer than it's been when I've used other sulfate-laden shampoos and conditioners, and I am happy to say that I am still a lovely brunette, and not on my way to being a brassy redhead just yet. Sodium hydroxide in itself is a potent skin irritant, but once it's reacted (as it is usually in skin care products, like exfoliants) it is totally harmless. If you have blonde hair…try the L'Oréal Paris EverPure Blonde Shampoo and the L'Oréal Paris EverPure Blonde Conditioner. So unless you know what the relative toxicity of these sodium compounds are, you are misinforming people by simply saying they are carcinogens and irritants and not providing a context. They are placed in standard concentrations for every product made by the company and, being surfactants, they will strip oil and grease from the hair as they are meant to do. In vitro (made in the lab not on real people) and animal studies have shown that it may produce hormonal (estrogen-like) effects. It’s one of the “EU 26 fragrances” that has to be labelled separately (and cannot be simply included in the term “fragrance/perfume” on the label) because of allergen potential. Walmart has the "off brand" of Everpure and I have used that as well and I feel as its the same as the brand Everpure .

Probably that’s why citric acid is usually not used as an exfoliant but more as a helper ingredient in small amounts to adjust the pH of a formulation.

Discover our evaluation methodology and all that we are implementing to reduce our impacts together. For example, in case of AHA or BHA exfoliants, the right pH is super-duper important, and pH adjusters like sodium hydroxide are needed. Rosemary’s great for the scalp and can help improve its circulation, which is a key component of hair growth.

I was surprised it didn’t smell anything at all like rosemary or have any herbal aroma to it as it was working in action, but it still had a nice generic fragrance to it and never left any noticeable weight behind. I wonder, why L'oreal is not producing their X-Tenso sulfate free pro keratin hair care range in US market! It also gives a rich, creamy foam, it's based on vegetable fatty acids and is readily biodegradable. Since using EverPure my hair is brighter and the color is lasting much longer than with any previously used products. There are plenty of better options for sun protection today, but it is considered "safe as used" (and sunscreens are pretty well regulated) and it is available worldwide (can be used up to 10% in the EU and up to 7. Just because the chemicals don't work for your hair type does not mean that the chemicals are to blame. A helper ingredient that helps to neutralize the metal ions in the formula (that usually get into there from water) that would otherwise cause some not so nice changes. Sulfates, and most surfactants, are color-stripping culprits, but only because they're doing their job. L'Oreal may have gotten rid of the harsh sulfates, but it seems to have replaced them with unsavory substitutes.
