Snake's Frozen Pop Shop (HD, 7 Mins.) - A fun little extra that gives some frozen pop recipes and how to make them look cool. Marc Maron, who voiced Mr. Snake in this movie, later went on to portray the voice of Lex Luthor in DC League of Super Pets, another animated movie with a talking guinea pig as the main antagonist. The gang steals the Golden Dolphin, but on his way-out Wolf hears Marmalade's explanation of how he does good things just to feel good. Wolf hesitates, and in that hesitation, his disguise comes off and he is recognized by the crowd. The gang is arrested, but Wolf persuades Foxington to let Marmalade reform them, but secretly plans to steal the award again. Marmalade accepts the challenge and promises to reform the Bag Guys by the next charity event Gala for Goodness.

Foxington decides to call off the experiment but relents when Wolf confesses that he became a criminal because he despises being hated for his species; she admits she understands and has hope for him. As far as entertainment aimed at the wee ones, you can certainly do worse. It's brisk, silly, and the animation is quite enjoyable, adding hand-drawn overlays and accents that really make the images pop and provide additional, gratifying textures. The story, on the other hand, is the same old-same old. We have a group of "scary animals" in a world where anthropomorphized creatures walk side-by-side with humans. These spooky creatures get a bad rap because people fear them, so they lean into social prejudices and become a notorious criminal gang. Except now they might want to go good because being good feels better than being bad. Thematically, it's the same territory that Zootopia trod and with better world-building. We have "bad animals" that are tired of being looked as bad because people wrongly interpret them as scary threats. It's the predator/prey dynamic but without the depth. Having an all-animal heist crew provides some creative entertainment and Ocean's 11-style moments of frothy fun; I especially enjoyed that the giant shark is the team's master of disguise and always very obvious. The character arcs, supposed betrayals, redemption, and plot should be familiar and predictable, which means much of the movie must coast on the appeal of the animation, vocal actors, and general sense of humor. The comedy can be amusing but too often falls upon cheap gags, like the piranha's defining trait of being a nervous farter. The Bad Guys is suitable for animation aficionados, fans of the book series, and people who have never seen Zootopia, and if that's you, then just watch Zootopia. Foxington wants the Wolf and the gang to help her stop Marmalade and expose him for a criminal mastermind that he is. Eventually, Marmalade's idea of having them go on a rescue mission, "a heist for good", to save laboratory guinea pigs proves a fiasco from second-in-command Mr. Snake's obsession with eating guinea pigs. Foxington decides to call off the experiment but relents when Wolf confesses that he despairs being hated for his species and that authorities like her wouldn't understand what he goes through every day of his life. Foxington admits that she understands and confesses that she has hope for him. Wolf contemplates the matter and finds himself rescuing a cat from a tree, which Marmalade records and releases as a viral video. The resulting publicity turns the public image of the Bad Guys around, but Snake suspects he is losing touch with his friend.When the Bad Guys execute a new heist at the grand gala to celebrate, Wolf cannot bring himself to finish the plan and betray the newfound trust he earned. However, a rare meteor is stolen framing the Bad Guys for its theft. When the gang is arrested once again, Marmalade meets them in private and reveals that he stole the meteorite, and was disguised as the old lady Wolf helped earlier, to manipulate the gang into taking the blame. In prison, Wolf explains to his gang that he still doesn't want to be a criminal anymore.
