About this deal

No case. This drops it out of the least expensive good "complete kit" challenge (currently held by the Truthears+Crinacle Zero). if u want clean balanced sound signature i still prefer CHU...yes as am already said 7hz zero sounds good , but its overhyped by the online community..seems like a new marketing strategy The Mangird Top has excellent technical performance. It has excellent detail retrieval, imaging, and soundstage. The IEM is also very well-tuned, with no noticeable peaks or dips in the frequency response. Tests were done with a Khadas Toneboard DAC -> Schiit Asgard 3 amp, E1DA 9038, Questyle M15, Colorfly CDA M1, Tempotec Sonata HD Pro (BHD firmware mod), Apple dongle, smartphone, Hiby R3 Pro Saber 2022 DAP, and Sony NW A-55 DAP (Walkman One mod) using FLAC and WAV files. The Salnotes Zero is an excellent value for its price range. It outperforms other IEMs in the same price range by a significant margin. The sound quality, build quality, and design all make the Salnotes Zero stand out from its competition.

Better Instrument separation. The Zero's thin instruments, more artifacts can make things sound mashed together at times. This may come as a surprise to some. We assume a more transparent (colder) IEM will have better separation. The Salnotes Zero outperforms its competitors in terms of sound quality, design, and value. At its price point, it is a steal and should not be missed by anyone who is passionate about music. The Wan’er boast charming aesthetics, comfortable fit, generous accessories, and an agreeable tonality coupled with natural timbre.

Being an inexpensive set, the Wan’er are aptly named after their historical namesake, in tying in with her very modest upbringing as a retainer who got promoted all the way to the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty. Burn-in: About 70hrs. (I'll update the review if I notice an improvement, say after 200hrs of use). You will surely be spoiled for choices if you get such quality drivers and sublime tuning at rediculously cheap prices. The Simgot EM6L is The imaging on the Salnotes Zero is also noteworthy. It is better than any other model we have heard in this price range. You can easily feel the direction of instruments and singers. The imaging is so precise that you can almost point out where each instrument is coming from. This level of imaging is not common in earphones at this price range, and it is impressive that Salnotes Zero has been able to deliver it. With the Salnotes Zero, you can enjoy a level of clarity and separation that is rare in budget in-ear monitors. Cable is the same as the Dioko. Cable is ok. Not amazing, but fine. All my gear uses 2.5mm balanced termination, so I switched to some Tripowin Zonie cables. Hilariously, the cables - already among the least expensive 2.5mm cables on the market, are the same price as the ENTIRE Zero IEMs.

The Salnotes Zero has a simple and cool-looking design that is made from high-quality materials. The earphones fit nicely in all sizes of ears and provide excellent comfort for long listening sessions. Better sub-bass extension. In 'Smooth Criminal' you can clearly 'feel' the heartbeats on the Zero, whereas with the E3000 you can 'only hear' them, faintly. This is a Big difference. The CHU come with a non-detachable cable, which may be a deal-breaker for some. The fit is also iffy, as the earpieces tend to drop out of the ears, with the fixed cables tending to yank them out. In technical performance, the soundstage of the BL-03 is slightly more expansive; however, micro-detailing, imaging, and instrument separation are better on the Wan’er.

The midrange is slightly recessed. The lower mids are warmed by the aforementioned mid-bass bleed, adding some heft and density to the note weight.

Timbre is slightly less natural on the Zero, and the Zero may be more uncomfortable due to perpendicular edges in the shells. Vs. Moondrop CHU The Zero is a fantastic product "for the price". The linearity, presentation, detail and extension on both ends are commendable. When pitched against a higher tier it WILL begin to show flaws. The soundstage is confined/intimate/narrow, instrument separation is mediocre, layering is poor, metallic/artificial timbre on instruments, generally less refined sounding (artifacts can be noticed when you compare against a higher tier like say, the E3000). I know that's an unfair comparison but just goes to show these are NOT giant-killers by any stretch of imagination! Timbre is better on the BL-03. Indeed, the BL-03 are well-known for their timbral accuracy, with only a few budget contenders besting them in this area. The soundstage on the Mangird Top is wider than all budget iems that have own and have used before, and the imaging is very precise. This makes the IEM great for listening to music with complex soundscapes and excellent for FPS gaming. I can easily place each instrument in the soundstage or footsteps in gaming. The treble rolls off pretty early and is on the darker side. There’s little air and sparkle, so treble-heads might want to look elsewhere.

One of the most impressive aspects of the Salnotes Zero is its soundstage. It has a wide and spacious soundstage that creates an immersive listening experience. You can feel like you are sitting in the middle of all the artists, and they are all playing just for you. The soundstage is so well-defined that it can even make some songs sound better than they did before. For instance, when listening to Teri Fariyad by Rekha Bhardwaj and Jagjit Singh, the soundstage is so wide and open that it almost feels like the performers are in the room with you. The soundstage is one of the best we have experienced at this price point, and it's a testament to the quality of the Salnotes Zero. Imaging: Being much smoother and refined (no artifacts) without sacrificing detail in vocals or bass (though yes, sub-bass is missing). For the same level of detail the Zeros seem less refined, not because of more treble energy but because of more artifacts (a hallmark of cheaper gear). Just to be clear, the tuning is excellent on the Zeros not harsh at all (except a tiny spike in the upper treble) Treble quality and timbre. Same as above. The treble (again, though not as extended) on the E3000 is definitely more real, less artificial/metallic sounding. The CHU are tuned to Moondrop’s virtual diffuse sound field (VDSF) tuning philosophy (their in-house variant of the Harman curve).

The mids on the Mangird Top are slightly recessed, but they're still clear and present. Vocals sound natural and realistic, and instruments are well-defined. The male vocals sound a little thin when compared to Tin Hifi T2 which is a mid-forward iem. The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user zero sounds good , balanced sound signature but tone and timbre is not natural (metallic) like CHU and BASS is also less...overall i feel CHU is better , so if u have CHU jus be happy and dont get tempted like me to buy this I have been in the hobby for over 9 years now. Have owned or briefly auditioned (and given away to family/friends) a bunch of IEMs; E10c, Re-400a, Dunu Titan 1 (aka Fiio EX1), Beyerdynamic Byron, Audio Technica IM-70, Blon BL-03 and the Final E3000. First things first after trying many IEMs under 2k rupees like CCA CRA and CRA+ Blon Bl03 KZ EDX Ultra And Moondrop CHU and every earphones under 1000 rupeesSalnotes is a brand that has gained popularity among audiophiles and music enthusiasts since 2021, after the launch of their Planar Driver IEM called “ Timeless”. In this review, we’ll be discussing the 7HZ Salnotes Zero In-Ear Monitors, one of their most popular models under the Rs. 2000 price segment. CX180 got much better sub bass it's clean and hits hard and CX180 mids are much better they sound natural The treble is fatigue-free and smooth, with minimal sibilance, though resolution and micro-details might be dampened due to this tuning choice.
