XXT / Super Firm - this is the toughest level, which we call XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"); It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid / pretty firm Brush Tips - The soft version has gentle bristles for gum massage; the hard version has firmer bristles closer to that of a traditional toothbrush. These can be used to help get orally sensitive individuals more comfortable with oral care, so that they can eventually use regular toothbrushes, be more comfortable going to the dentist, etc. My son loves his pencil topper! No more chewed up pencil erasers for us. This was the perfect solution!
Preefer Tip - This tip attachment is rounded with ridges all along the circumference for when a "rolling" action is desired for a different kind of sensory input. Roll it over the lips, across the tongue, and inside the cheeks. The pencils are tough and very hard to break especially if you have children that like to chew. My son is an avid shirt chewer. He was very happy to receive his pencil topper. It has kept him from chewing his shirt or nails to nubs. Great product and made in the USA Each topper is sold individually and comes with its own eraser-less pencil. If moving the chew to a new pencil eraser-less is best!
Tongue Tip - This tip can be used as a traditional tongue scraper to help establish good oral care. It can also be used to help establish the concept of tongue lateralization and elevation (hold the Tongue Tip vertically in front of the mouth and ask the individual to put the tip of their tongue inside the hole, then guide the tongue from side to side or up and down). You can also place the Tongue Tip flat on top of the tongue to provide input to a large surface area of the tongue (this tip has the largest "footprint" surface-area-wise). Designed to look like a fun pencil topper, the Krypto-Bite® is a very discreet way to chew. Hence the name, which comes from the Greek word kryptos("hidden, concealed, secret"). Not recommended for avid / aggressive chewing. The best option for avid chewing is ARK's Y-Chew XXT (sold separately). Each flower chew is medical grade, FDA compliant, and contains NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latexXT / Medium Firm- This is the middle level, which we call XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers. My son’s teacher mentioned he was chewing his pencil erasers, and suggested getting him a pencil topper. I didn’t even know these existed! It has really helped his need to chew. He’s 9 and I bought the “toughest” level and it’s perfect.
