About this deal

In 1990 after the opening up of Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe the recipe was traced and reborn.

It can be enjoyed on its own, mixed with Champagne or sparkling wine, or used as an ingredient in romantic cocktails. Sweeter and mellower than others in the Mozart range, this sugary liqueur is wonderful for pouring over desserts and adding a final flourish to a creamy cocktail.Neat over ice with a squeeze of lime, or as a Laniquetini with gin, good mixers are tonic with cucumber, tonic with lime, or Fentimans jasmine. With lush berry flavours, hints of pepper and spices, an excellent accompaniment to cheese, nuts or desserts, especially Chocolate based. If like me, you haven’t heard of Lanique, it seems that it’s actually over 200 years old, but has only just been revived. This is not a Liqueur - it is a full strength spirit that tastes divine of roses and Turkish delight.

An unbelievably good Reposado tequila, made from Organic agaves which are grown for over 9 years before slow cooking in traditional ovens. The same was true of the "Roaring Twenties" where Lanique was enjoyed in the grand Art Deco hotels and bars until it dissapered during the Sedon World War when trade routes were blocked and the availability of fresh rose petals dried up. The long connection between the Royal Navy and rum can be traced back to 1655 and Vice-Admiral William Penn's expedition to the West Indies. When she lets her hair down it’s to indie bands, preferably live, as she seeks to retain her rock chic status. The Attar of Rose is then added in a slow, multi-part process with carefully selected sugars and a neutral grain spirit.

In 2015 the Spirit of Rose was eventually rediscovered by dedicated artisans and rebord and distilled in the UK using the original recipe. The main biodynamic concept is that the growers intend to create a self-sufficient environment that works, heals and becomes an organism in itself. Enjoyed since the late 1700's by Kings, Queens and the Aristocracy of the Kingdom of Prussia, the Austrian Empire and the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Lanique Spirit of Rose has now been rediscovered and recreated from an original recipe for you to enjoy at your next sophisticate soiree! Made to a 200 year old recipe dating back to the 1700s, at a time when rose-flavoured spirits were enjoyed by royalty all over Europe.

Lanique was first created in 1785 in The Kingdom of Prussia and imbibed by European aristocracy across the empires of Prussia, Hungary, Austria and the Two Sicilies. HOW TO: Add all ingredients to a shaker with cubed ice, give it a good old shake and strain into your Martini Glass. Lanique was popular through the 1800s and right up to the 1920s at high society balls and was often drunk neat in small tasting glasses. Lanique is often used in classic cocktails to add a rose flavour to them or due to its high alcohol strength as a drink in its own right with tonic or lemonade. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. The first appearance of the word is from the Polish court documents from the Palatinate of Sandomierz written in 1405. Spirit of Rose by Lanique is a perfect pink gin liquor with Floral and Sweet tones, Rose flavoured with added fruits and a hint of Turkish Delight for the taste. A tasty rose petal-flavoured Polish liqueur, each bottle of Lanique is made using thousands of hand-picked rose petals.
