About this deal

I will throw in that most people that recommended this book read physical copies, so maybe it is because of the creepy old man and his terrible narration (especially Diesel's voice). i'm trying to be a little more intentional with the stuff i read and actually evaluating if the content is something i'm interested in or if i'm just picking up a pick because of the hype. My nerves were hanging on by a thread, like an adrenaline junky needing that next fix, my foot was tapping, my heart was out of beat, my hands were clammy, loving that electrical surge making me read faster. I had originally given the book a 5 star review but after sitting with the story for a while I dropped a star because there could have been more with the subplots that would have made the story more than just a smutty instalove reverse harem.

They might not be the same blood but sometimes loyalty and friendship is ties together far more well than blood.I felt all this deep in my soul and believed in the portrayed dynamic of all the characters involved. I’ve read the book so thought it would be a good idea to listen as well but they just sound like creepy old cockney men. Halfway through the book, which is as far as I could force myself to get, it is essentially 95% ridiculous sex scenes, and 5% pointless "story. In a way this was good but I wish it had much more of a plot instead of being all rushed in the end or it would have turned out as a 5 star for me! Being excited at the idea of Gang rape and having absolutely NO remorse or upset about it whatsoever?

the guys in this book make a big show of torturing rapists and stuff but they’re rapists themselves. She’s used to having to defend herself and can bring down a man that is easily two or three times her size, and despite her upbringing, she is a fighter. Kenzo also is a master at games and runs several illegal casino’s, he can also can throw down when needed. Another point within the plot that I enjoyed was the fact that each of the MMCs had their internal struggles, issues, or things from their past that were a driving force of who they were in the present, and explained why they acted the way they acted. From the get-go the chapters were styled so well, I knew exactly who was who and the descriptions of these Vipers are wooww! The Reverse Harem FMC in this book is sassy to no end and the way she handles each of the MMCs is funny, unique, and tactful. He sounds about sixty and his cockney accent for Diesel makes him sound like an old pirate and it made it hard to get into the story and hard to understand.

Garrett is a tall muscular guy and he hates women and doesn’t like them being near him or touching him. But then seeing her going all "I hate you four but fuck I'm still turned on by you'll" and the guys changing from "cute bunnies" to "bloody werewolves" randomly for 500 FUCKING PAGES.Blatant, obvious hints that they've done this to many other women and felt nothing but excitement and joy? He’s the type of man who would bring you the appendage of an enemy to you as a gift after the enemy looked at you the wrong way. His charming, gambling characteristics not to mention how he has sweet, sexy, and mischievous he can be at times.

It almost sounds like the actors have tried to do a 'chavvy' British accent but not quite managed it. Her father owed a lot of money to the Vipers, four men everyone knows are trouble, and they own the town. Knight gives us a dark reverse harem that might leave you questioning a few things about yourself and might leave you with a new kink or two. Garrett is the enforcer and he and Diesel make sure they are getting paid by those who owe them money and are in charge of the not so legal businesses.Again, I do not want to kink-shame anyone, but I can't get my head around the logistics of some of these sex scenes - there's just no way some of them are possible without death / serious harm. Yes, she does fall head over heels in love with them, and very early on (by around page 60) she even fantasises about them, but Roxy is painted on the blurb, and at the beginning of this book, as a woman who isn't pushed around by anyone. One minute, she wants to escape and get her life back, and the next, she is madly in love with her kidnappers? it's vulgar and shocking and these characters are psychotic, and every chapter appalled me in a new way. She's unpredictable, resilient and pragmatic she also isn't exactly thrilled to find herself the personal property of the Vipers.
