Join Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar's cookery course and learn how to make some of the most iconic Indian curries, breads, rice and vegetable dishes. Your day will be a mixture of in-kitchen demonstrations performed by the chef who is running the session and hands-on practical cookery, where you are guided by the expert teaching chef. The exact format will vary from class to class depending on the style of cuisine and length of the course. Take a deep breath in and immerse yourself in this Indian Cooking Class and the spicy aroma of a couple of Indians most loved and tasty dishes. We will still be running singular events, but the demand means that we intend on offering a four to six-part cooking series. Born in east India but growing up in the north of the country, Atul came to appreciate food from a young age thanks to his grandfather – a baker – and his father, who owned a catering business. ‘I learnt a lot of things form a young age,’ he says. ‘Going to the market, buying the right ingredients, looking at the melons and pumpkins – it was a part of my everyday life’. This course will teach you to cook recipes from across India, including some of Atul's favourite dishes from Kerala, West Bengal, Kashmir and Goa. We will also consult with you about the kinds of dishes you would like to learn and design the menu accordingly.
