A real shame it is discontinued, I count myself lucky to have found a tester set of Bvlgari perfumes, which included this gem. Longevity is great -- beyond 12 hours on my skin -- and it stays close to the skin after about eight hours. The overall impression is that of a delicate and elegant woman that has just taken a bath with a very special soap. BLV is the scent you wear when you were just swimming and tanning by the pool and you still want to relive that relaxing moment on your skin and in your nose.

All in all the fragrance is nice and stylish, it's just Notte is more spicy and that's why I prefer it. This scent has too many things muddled together, and while it begins smelling pleasant and clean, the musky, spicier notes that come soon after are a real disappointment. It's ginger based and tastes extremely similar to the way this smells (which seems like it should be gross, but is actually fantastic! Later on you get almost an oily or perfume aura along with the soapiness but this gives the scent a richness while wearing it. The bottle, the box, as well as their colour, heralded the sophistication and elegance this scent is famous for.Unfortunately I am reminded of the lemon scented air fresheners that stick to the wall that were popular in the 90s. I LOVE this perfume and had been wanting to find a fragrance with fresh ginger root, rather than something that smells like spicy gingerbread. And now its also similar to the female version- Bvlgari BLV pour femme (the very first BLV which also I own).

There is an artificial element in there, or maybe the cedar was too strong, but it really didn't like what was happening on my skin. I consider it casual even though it’s probably too classy for that because it just smells to me like it belongs on someone in jeans an’ a tee relaxin’ and enjoyin’ ‘emselves. I really did want him to like it but it almost completely disappeared before we left the house (4 pumps) It did not smell the same as i remembered. Initially Blv Pour Homme smells light, airy, powdery, almost like a simple musk or a molecule fragrance. This is a nice feminine powdery floral, very well-balanced-I am smelling flax flower for the first time, and it does smell like a softer, less heady jasmine, with the wisteria.When it begins to dry out, I guess I figured it out with some floral scent, I have in mind in a manly fashion and close to woody.
