The device has a Li-Ion battery that provides an autonomous running time of 8 hours. It is the same that previous versions had. Waterproofness The discrimination range is the highest in any Equinox machine to date and allows for a very high degree of customisation and accuracy. Increased Sensitivity Levels The Equinox 900 uses the same Multi-IQ technology as the 800, but it has been tuned slightly differently.It’s important to bear in mind what this means. It doesn’t mean the detector is, ‘seeing more', it instead means that you can now allow a more precise description of what your detector tells you that it has found. THE MULTI-IQ ADVANTAGE

You no longer need to invest in aftermarket, telescopic, lighter stems, as it has it all straight out-of-the-box. It is stronger, lighter, and more compact than its predecessor, thanks to the use of carbon fibre and telescopic construction.

Also, the armrest was changed. It rolls along the bearing slide to the length the user needs. This is convenient and looks nice. Fast & Accurate Target ID

About 2 years after the Equinox was released by Minelab, CoilTek came out with 3 alternative coils for the Equinox 600 and 800. I wrote up an article about those 3 coils but will they work with the 900? The theory is yes but until CoilTek or Minelab confirms, we are surely speculating at this point. I really hope they do because I feel as though the 10×5 coil paired up with the 800 was a magical combination. What Are Your Thoughts About The Equinox 700 and 900?
