About this deal

If you’re interested in the internal workings then the Micro Terror is a hybrid amp. That means it’s uses a single 12AX7 preamp tube with a class D transistor power amp. A mix of solid state affordability and reliability with tube tone.

If you’re strictly a metal player then you’re best looking at the Micro Dark or elsewhere. Likewise if you play jazz then the Micro Terror isn’t for you. Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. Read more about Orange amplifiers, their history, range of amps and what they’re good for with our Orange amps guide Design What also really needs mentioning is that the Micro Terror is LOUD. For such a tiny little thing it’s ridiculous how loud it can get. You have to pay a bit extra but it’s not a huge difference. Is it worth it? That probably depends on what you need or want.

Orange Micro Terror Guitar Amp Pack with Cables Overview

With even the slightest change in the adjustment of the shape control section, you will notice a subtle change in the music you are producing. Now that we have seen all the aspects of the orange Micro Terror let us now know all there is to know about the Orange Micro Dark.

If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offeredIf I had to choose between the two amps, I would go with the Micro Dark because I am a pedal guy and I couldn’t live without the effects loop. Before going any further, let us get to know Orange first, as we are going to read a lot about the company later in this article. About Orange – the brand The PPC108 are designed specifically for the Micro Terror. Both in size and look they are perfectly paired.

When I first took my brand new early Peavey 30 into my mates studio for recording he was pretty sceptical about the amp - until he heard it. Then his comment was "even clean you can hear it has valves in it!", and it is true. Clean s.s. amps and clean valve amps don't actually sound the same, and though when clean the apparent volume differences will be smaller they are still there and valve ones will still (typically) sound louder at the same actual wattage!

Is it just us or are Orange Terrors getting smaller and smaller these days? Here's one in a pedal...

s are notoriously boxy and the PPC108 is no different. You get next to no bottom end. The improvement in how it sounds through even a single 1X12 cab is going to be huge.

It can be tamed though. It doesn’t have a brilliant volume control and the taper could be better. But it’s also not one of those ones where you only have to breathe on it and it goes from barely audible to eardrum bursting levels. The amp head and the speakers of the guitar work in such a way that the amp head contains the electronic parts that are used to amplify the signals that arise when you play your guitar. The portable size allows you to take it anywhere without having to worry about carrying a lot of weight, as it literally weighs less than even a kilogram.

What Makes Our Sales Engineers Great?

If you see the front panel, you will see an On and off switch that extends from the left to the right, with a yellow LED light that turns on when you press the on the button and goes off when you press the off button, respectively. Unlike most Orange amps the Micro Terror isn’t actually orange in color. Like it’s bigger brother the Tiny Terror it’s white, which might be a relief if you find the bright orange the majority of Orange amps come in a bit too much.
